Guess it's legit if it's coming 4rm Jamb brochure, even though i've not seen such a dept in Uniport. There is nothing to worry about. I'm sure not many people know about the dept cus it might be relatively new. So, the lesser the candidates, the higher ur chances

well, so far I know, their is no score usually quoted by the school.. but scoring 200 & above in the post utme is the criteria for admission accompanied by the general performance...

There will be a coordinated national response to post utme thru the Committee of Vice - Chancellors in collaboration with NUC and the Ministry of Education.

Things will be clearer then, the main priority now is to get Uniport Academic calendar back on course with regards to undergraduate and remedial programs.

The calendar is on the schools website sir. And school has been scheduled to open on Sunday. Exams are starting on Monday.

The University of Port Harcourt hereby invites candidates who made the University their First Choice in the 2016 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and obtained a minimum score of 180, to apply for a Screening Exercise for admission into the University. Print slip for payment



Proceed to any of the following Banks(with e-Transact platform) and make payment of N2,000.00 (Excluding Bank and Access Charges, Processing Fee and Result checking):

FIDELITY BANK PLC, UBA PLC, FIRST BANK PLC, ACCESS BANK PLC

ECOBANK PLC, FCMBAND UNIPORT- CHOBA MICROFINANCE BANK.



Obtain an e-Tranzact receipt showing an access code from the Bank Teller confirming the payment.
Proceed back online and Log-in with your UTME Registration Number and the Access Code on the payment slip, from Friday, 17th June, 2016.
Complete the Form online as requested.
Scan and upload O’Level Examination Certificate(s)/ Examination Slip(s) for Candidates awaiting result(s).
Click on the“submit button” and print Photo Card for the Screening Exercise clearance.
Note the date and time of Screening Scheduleon the Photo Card.



CANDIDATES who fail to register within the registration period will not be ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE SCREENING EXERCISE.



MATERIALS NEEDED FOR SCREENING EXERCISE

Candidates are required to come with the following:

A clear copy of the Photo Card printed online and pen.
Copy of O’Level Examination Certificate(s) (WASCE, GCE, NECO, NABTEB)/Examination Slip(s) for Candidates awaiting results.

NOTE:

Inconsistency in name or picture on Photo Card will not be acceptable to the University and may lead to disqualification of affected candidates. Candidates’ names on their O’Level Certificates, UTME results and other registration documents must be the same.
Mobile Phones, Ipad, Ipod, Walkman and similar gadgets or any extraneous materials will not be allowed into the Screening Venue and its environs.
Candidates must apply within the Registration period as the online link for the Application Form will be disabled at Mid–Night on SUNDAY, 26th June, 2016.
Candidates must report to the designated Screening Venues at the time scheduled on the Photo Card or risk disqualification.
Parents and Guardians, as well as uninvited security agents will not be allowed into the campus on the days of the Screening Exercise.

Need advice. I decided to go for change in course to computer science and mathematics in uniport because of less competition. I scored 189 and intended doing engineering in uniyo is tbis good decision.

This part is unclear.... wouldn't an affidavit suffice in a case of misarrangement/misplacement of first and middle name in an O'Level result?

and then your Jamb in 2016 says your name is Don Pedro Emmanuel

No Affidavit will save you, if you like say Emmanuel is your grand father's baptismal name.

Also if date of birth in o level is different from date if birth in Jamb.

Misplacement or Misarrangement of names do not amount to an infringement.

So Don Michael Pedro in o level and Pedro Don Michael in Jamb is basically one and the same.

Does anyone know how the "admission screening" is going to be conducted... is it gonna be like normal post utme (i.e CBT and jamb-like)?, oral?, written (ppt)? or some new screening method

it appears there has been a reduction in the screening charges.
