what a loss. he is indeed a great manager and good one at that. i pray united don't make mistakes in naming his successor. This is definately a big blow for all united fans but i must say, sooner or later this is definately gonna happen. Will miss this man big tym, the influence he commands both on and off the field is legendary. United for life.

Mourinho is not daftt enough to take over from SAF,for two reasons.
1)he cannever replicate the success SAF had at Manu.
Infact,no manager can match SAF achievements at Manu
2)he would be destroying whatever legacy he had at chelsea.
That would be the highest form of betrayal and chelsea fans will never forgive him.

Porthable: we've had special ones, only ones, crazy one, guarding ones. But there as been only one Sir Alex Ferguson, the ONE! Its a privilegde to have knwn u! Up Barca!
There is only one "SPECIAL ONE".
It's jose mourinho.

ehis999: I'm sure Rooney will be happy to see Sir Alex go...
This guy - SAF was very confident only three days ago about his future...Clearly, he's been forced out!

I strongly doubt that a deal has been brokered with a new manager and that a replacement will be announced in 48 hours...
On point. He was forced out, and me likey. He seems to be making some wrong tactical decisions of late. Plus, the fact that he always favour British players ahead of the other competent ones. Thank God Hernandez and Rooney can now have a reason to stay back, while some overrated average one -legged winger like Valencia can find their way back to the bench where they rightly belong, or possibly be demoted to the reserve.
Fergie is an all time greatest, but he has killed Man U on a number of occasions with his tactical misfits. The champions league final defeat we suffered in d hands of Barca at d wembley stadium is still fresh in my memory. we lost this match not because we do not have the personnel, but because Fergie failed to realise d players dat would bring home d expected result. How would u pair an ageing Giggs with Carrick in d midfield against d best midfielders in d world and be expectin a victory?
That was how he removed Ando, a player who seemed to be d only life in d team against Chelsea, and started crying foul after bin defeated.
Yes, he has achieved a lot for the club, but his retirement was imminent, and if the right manager is appointed to take over more, laurels will be brought to carrington. #GGMU

How did Howeb Webb assist. United played 5 champions league matches against English clubs and won all of them, whether home or away or in a neutral ground. Was Webb there when United beat Chelsea 3 tmes in Champions League? Look at the gap n EPL, how many matches has Webb handled?

Sir Alex ferguson isn't just a great manager he wasn't a bad player either. He scored 170 goals in 317 appearances for Queens Park, St. Johnstone, Dunfermline, Rangers, Falkirk and Ayr United from 1957 to 1974.

Sir Alex's last game for Manchester United against West Brom will be his 1500th game as manager of United. LEGEND!

Let's review the facts. Before Manchester United's match against my Chelsea team on the 5th of May, Sir Alex Ferguson wrote in the matchday program, "I certainly don't have any plans at the moment to walk away." Then I beat him 1-0 and David Luiz laughed at him. This was the second time I beat his team this season. Clearly Mr. Ferguson finally realized that I am the better manager and felt he had no other choice but to go against his word and retire in shame. This is a fact.

His decision also comes after I was named Premier League Manager of the Month for April 2013. Not "Interim" Manager of the Month. Just Manager of the Month. Because that is what I am. Mr. Ferguson has not won this award since October 2012. Even Brian McDermott has won it since then and Reading are getting relegated. Ouchfact.

I also knocked Manchester United out of the FA Cup and got Chelsea into the Europa League final using only my superior tactics and ring of mouth hair. Mr. Ferguson could not even get Man United into the Europa League because he knows I am the lizard king of second-tier European competitions and he would just lose to me yet again. Intimidationfact.

Now that Mr. Ferguson has run away from me, scared and with a broken hip because I figuratively sat on him all season, and The Stupid One is going to take credit for the team I have built at Chelsea next season, there is only one next step. I will volunteer to become manager of Manchester United. I have already proven that I have the shamelessness necessary to work for a rival of my beloved Liverpool and a club that does not respect me, so that is not a problem. And since I was the last man to beat Mr. Ferguson, it is like I am Dorothy and my house landed on the the Wicked Witch of the East, so I get to wear her ruby slippers. Shoefact.

While I finish planning my Fergie-Free Fiesta and making arrangements to destroy all references to him at Man United before I arrive, I will leave Mr. Ferguson with one final thought before he hobbles into the cruel abyss of retirement: Marco Materazzi is a liar. ClimacticFact!
