President John Kufuor, Senate President David Mark, MBSN Democracy Queen Jasmine Mbonu, Queen Of Aso Kome Osalor led as special guests at the Sun Newspaper 10th Anniversary held at Shehu Musa Yar'adua Centre recently in Abuja.

The presence of the both graciously dressed beauty queens attracted attention at the event as they were the cynosure of all eyes. The media was not left out in this show of admiration as they all followed up for interviews and media gallery photos.

However, the beauty queen were not without their team as GLees Manager Alex Nwankwo and Aso Multi -Media Director Mr Desmond Agboola and Manager Kingsley Agboola were conspicuously present.

The former President of Ghana, John Kufuor gave a speech on conflict and religion in the world, especially within the African continent. He said that "no religion requires that adherents should engage in civil strife to endanger the security of the society."

He said that only extremists and bigots who are a minority believe in violence as a way of communication, that no mainstream religion would propagandize conflict.

The lecture was given the title, "Religion, Strife and the future of democracy in Africa".

Kufuor also added, "This is a clear manifestation that when citizens handover their sovereign will to the state under a social contract called national constitution, for their will to be exercised on their behalf, as in a democracy, this is in line with religion."
