Onslaught Against Boko Haram Is Part 1 Of Nigeria's Eventual Break Up by GEJ!! by onomeasike: 11:56pm On May 19, 2013
Methinks, there are already boko haram elements down south, they were waiting to activate them and with this onslaught on their northern base, a serious boko haram attack will be carried out in major towns in the south any moment from now to distract the focus of the nigerian army and as a punishment for the arrogance so far shown by southerners. The use of force by GEJ would take the war to the second phase that may result in the eventual break up of Nigeria

GEJ's sins that will eventually break up Nigeria when the northerners get to power to extract their own pound of flesh

1)The northerners are not finding it funny that when there son(Yardua) was in power and the commander in chief,he had the chance to send Nigerian jets to dump bombs in bayelsa(the place Nigeria's current president hails from) but he never did so,fast forward to 2013,a son of bayelsa became president and mobilized Nigeerian jets to drop bombs on their land!

2.)The current place currently being bombarded is largely populated by the fulanis who have filial relationship extending throughout the whole north,GEJ is destroying a part of fulaniland and killing innocent fulanis(probably not deliberately but the northerners don't see it so),he has drawn the blood from them, the fulanis will surely retaliate and the will use their extensive connections across the whole north to achieve this.

3.)While GEJ set up the amnesty committee, got northerners to swallow the amnesty bait, the fact that he was not patient to activate the committee fully indicts his original intention and deceit,he will never ever get the trust of most northerners,he would be seen to have a pre-meditated plan to bomb and kill northerners.

4.The fact that the controversy surrounding the percieved assasination of erstwhile and late Gen. Owoye Azazi has not been cleared makes it beleivable that the late general was killed for saying it rightly that the current pdp machinery under the leadership of GEJ is behind boko haram(remember how the vigilance of south-westerners helped them identify the owners of the house where terrorists lodge and store high calibre arms as GEJ's bayelsa).Northerners believe GEJ is behind the whole imbroglio and boko haram crisis may have been sponsored by GEJ's govt.

5.The fact that the whole of southern nigeria has been insulated from the boko haram crisis till date is not due to any security strategy, hence the failure to protect the whole north from the crisis makes the whole crisis doubtful, therefore to make it believable, boko haram must carry out a serious attack in the south in the next few days to make any sense or for the boko haram elements to be taken seriously, either way,it is Nigeria that bleeds and it swells more anti-northern sentiment down south(although the south-west may not fall for it)

6.Most southern leaders have not expressed sympathy with the north in the loss of innocent lives,as a matter of fact, the arrogance of the southerners is that those innocent souls deserve to die for having boko haram elements living among them. The north will never sympathise with any loss of innocent lives in the event that there is terrorist attack down south.Their mood will be that it serves the south right.imagine when they get power,it serves the south right to order jets to drop bomb in niger delta.

7.)The fact that GEJ was practically forced to visit the areas affected by boko haram is not lost on the northerners and when he eventually visited the place,he offered no paliatives,as a matter of fact,he 'talked down' on them, humiliating their leaders. They will do same when they visit southerners during their afflictions!!

8.)The fact that this decision to bomb a land inhabited by mostly moslems by an'infidel' and killing of innocent moslems is being supervised by an 'infidel' is not lost on them.Islam is very strict on how a moslem must look out for the interest of a fellow moslem.A muslim northerner will be fulfilling that when be bears his fangs on those 'who killled his fellow moslems'
Re: Onslaught Against Boko Haram Is Part 1 Of Nigeria's Eventual Break Up by GEJ!! by onomeasike: 12:09am On May 20, 2013
Why the sudden upsurge in propaganda by nigerian army?they are trying to secure the back up of a majority of southerners who support this war. There is nothing cheery to the northerners,it is their land that is being despoiled,it is their kith and kin being killed. They are the ones losing. They believe this sentiment being courted by the nigerian army propaganda machinery will never be appealing to any person that hail from this places in northern nigeria. An egba man will never be happy that bomb is being dropped on ekitiland under the command of an igboman undecided

why are the top military commanders of northern extraction suddenly quiet?? They are not smiling, posting them to their land to kill their kith and kin is not funny.Average military person of northern extraction is aware that after military life,he must return home,he would not want to stay in abuja,ph,lagos etc. They cherish and hope to return to the simple lifestyle of most northerners.furthermore, they have a greater attachment to their religion than even nigeria(buhari said same in 2007)
Re: Onslaught Against Boko Haram Is Part 1 Of Nigeria's Eventual Break Up by GEJ!! by onomeasike: 12:38am On May 20, 2013
lack of tact in the prosecution of this onslaught on boko haram has made this war to look like an onslaught against the north. The northern leaders continue to state that this onslaught will not end the boko haram problem,in other words, they are not openly endorsing the use of the nigerian army to bomb their land.Their sons in the army now know where their leaders stand in this military onslaught.Another prominent northerner in gej's govt,Salisu Lamido along with northern governors forum ,has continued to tell the world that the real reason for the boko haram crisis is poverty and ignorance,he never expressed solidarity with the use of force.so where the northerners in gej's govt endorsing the army operations? The northerners and their govt will be the one to take out of their meagre allocations to address the challenge of humanitarian crisis(already, saharareporters has reported over 2000 people are migrating into niger, etc.) that result from this war,gej never gave them special allocations to build refugee camps, humanitarian reliefs despite their opposition to the military onslaught. They will conclude that they are being humiliated because the president is not from the north.
Re: Onslaught Against Boko Haram Is Part 1 Of Nigeria's Eventual Break Up by GEJ!! by onomeasike: 12:55am On May 20, 2013
the preliminary report has confirmed that the GEJ's govt is already 'falling' into the trap of painting the war as anti-north.see the report below.
The Federal Government, pushed to the wall by activities of the Boko Haram sect that has caused heightened insecurity in the country, has vowed to crush to extinction every bit of terrorist element in the north sequel to its declaration of emergency rule in three northeast states.

The demonstrated commitment of the Federal
Government in military operations and raids on the sect in Maiduguri has led to its members seeking refuge in neighbouring Bauchi, Gombe, and Jigawa states. Determined to contain the threat posed by members of the sect, the Federal Government has requested top military officers in charge of operational raid against terrorist insurgents to undertake an assessment of the situation, one which may likely lead to a declaration of emergency rule in four more states of the north.....

from ilorin to maiduguri to sokoto and all these states mentioned in the above report are populated by a significant and dorminant fulani/moslem population. As far as they concerned, gej perfectly fits the image of anti-islam and fulani. These sentiment is too dangerous to have been ignored by gej!

if in the next few days the army does not stop the bombing and the press continue to report boko haram bombing of other places in the north, the northerners will visit aso-rock to give gej the final warning(recall how sultan led all northern traditional leaders to aso-rock to demand for amnesty for boko haram) and you may soon hear of rumpling in the army.Northerners aint finding this operation funny especially the arrogance being displayed by southern leaders.Imagine northerners calling for amnesty and southern leaders asking the army to 'kill them all'because the c-in-c (gej),chief of army staff(Gen. ihejerika), army spokesman(Gen Chris Olukolade)etc are all southerners?,that is a tactical error that may be too late to correct.

[b]Behind the curtain

Daily Sun gathered that the meeting was to set the stage for the declaration of a state of emergency in Borno, Yobe, and Adamawa states by President Goodluck Jonathan barely 48hours later. Plans and consultations on the declaration were so integrated that friends of the president insisted on the solidarity of his people before the announcement to neutralize envisaged northern criticisms and untoward backlash. The governors of the two regions who gave him the highest votes in the 2011 presidential election, and who are the political pillars of their states were drafted to step in the gap. Their voices would resonate in it’s loud quality to steady the cause of opposing views in the offensive. Before now, the two zones had never twinkled in agreement on key political issues. The South-east has always begrudged the South-south of sabotage and abandonment in the prosecution of the Nigerian civil conflict. The South-south on the other hand, has always harboured fears of domination by their homogeneous majority south east neighbours. So the South-south, politically has never seen eye to eye with the South-east preferring to align with the North since the second republic. Although Uduaghan acknowledged that Ohanaeze Ndigbo, the socio-political group of Ndigbo held its convention two years ago in the city of Asaba, there is yet no progressive unity between them. Oshiomhole, who had initially agreed to attend the confab as a demonstration of his friendship with the president, and support for his administration allegedly chickened out over the presence of a large array of PDP politicians from his state, most of all, Chief Tony Anenih, his political foe and chairman of the PDP Board of Trustees, BOT. While he did not send a representative was said to be because of time lapse.

Its rili hard fighting the urge to insult some of u but its not worth it. Do u even have an idea how many pple ds boko haram have killed. If truly innocent pple are residing in d places soldiers invaded then they were aiding and abetting them all along and are guilty of the same crime. Please let's be objective with our judgements and not sentimental

Listen son, the major place facing the bombardment is Maiduguri and is largely populated by kanuris not fulanis.

Having clarified this, I wish to state that being and Igbo guy, I have sympathy for the innocent caught up in this mess. My very good friend and colleague has not been able to communicate with the mum and brother since saturday, I even have to stay up late last night to see if the lines are opened in the night but to no avail.

But the BH members are becoming more daring daily and some form of force is needed to make them realise that the Nigerian president is no weakling.

There are a good number of Christians who are trapped in this mayhem also. You need to rise above your ethnic hate and bigotry so as to see things in the right perspective.

This is very tough for GEJ. The Boko Guys are becoming more deadly day by day. Imaging attacking police stations, killing civilians, blowing up banks and looting millions.

THE ARAB SPRING is the cause of all these. The cache of weapons are being smuggled into Nigeria through our spurous borders.

NIGERIAN MILITARY NO MORE THE NATION DEFENDERS..

1. THE NIGERIAN MILITARY TURNED INTO POLITICAL CHARLATANS OF GEJ ADMINISTRATION
2. BY USING THEM AS A TOOL TO ACHIEVE HIS DEVILISH AGENDAS UNABATED.
3. HARASSING, KILLING INNOCENT NIGERIAN IN A SIMPLE BID TO CURVE INSURGENCY (BH) CREATED BY SAME MAN TO ACHIEVE THIS AGENDA.
4. UNPROFESSIONAL APPROACH BY THE MILITARY TO TACKLE SMALL BUT ELUSIVE TARGETS LIKE BH GUERRILLA FIGHTERS

I am still at a loss on how Jonathan thinks he can prosecute the war when northern leaders have already communicated their decision to their sons in the army.the north will never spare niger delta when they get to power.
that the mostly southern -dominated security advisers of GEJ could ignore the position of these northern leaders is sheer inexperience ,now the southern head of army is crying that there are moles in the army in http://saharareporters.com/news-page/some-nigerian-soldiers-help-boko-haram-lt-general%C2%A0ihejirika.The army is already divided, most soldiers being used to prosecute this war are southerners, very soon afenifere will request for the proportion of yoruba military soldiers being sacrificed on this war between ijaws and hausa-fulani(because jonathan does not understand the immorality in leading this war and his personal liability of the amnesty provided by a northerner to criminally-minded militants from his base!)
this war will never be won with this baggage our president is carrying. He should have stuck to the amnesty plan, now it is too late.

even a rookie security expert should see this coming.

[b]Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Azubuike Ihejirika, today revealed that some soldiers have been interacting with Boko Haram insurgents and divulging vital secrets of the army’s military operations.

General Ihejirika made the startling revelation in Abuja at a seminar on personnel management and development organized by the Army Transformation and Innovation Center.

The COAS, who was deeply distressed by the development, stressed that soldiers who collaborated with Boko Haram militants had hampered military operations, even causing the death of soldiers.

A few months ago, some soldiers traveling from Akure to Kachia in Kaduna State to train prior to deployment in neighboring Mali were ambushed and killed in Okene, Kogi State. The COAS disclosed that a soldier had supplied information about the troops’ movement to the insurgents, enabling Boko Haram insurgents to mount a surprise and successful attack.

A military source told SaharaReporters that the Army had arrested one of the major culprits who provided critical information that led to Boko Haram’s attack in Okene. “We have not released details of the soldier caught in the act, but I assure you he has been apprehended and will be court-marshaled,” said our source.

Our source added that some soldiers had also been identified posting negative comments on the Internet even as other rogue soldiers were communicating with insurgents and giving them information on the movements of troops.

General Ihejirika warned soldiers to desist from disloyal acts, vowing to deal decisively with those found culpable. He added that, with Nigeria’s present security challenges, it was not acceptable for the Army to lose operatives to dismissals. He therefore urged soldiers to be forthright and professional in their activities.

The COAS said that he had advised commanders to take it easy in dismissing soldiers, but insisted that if a soldier’s misconduct was disloyal, then the Army would have no choice than to dismiss and jail him.

General Ihejirika revealed that, as part of its readiness for the security challenges, the Army was training more than 1000 amphibious soldiers to operate in waterways. In addition, the Army was establishing a reserved battalion to be led by a Colonel, supported by 25 other officers, and building 176 Battalion at Gwagwalada in Abuja.

Earlier, the Chief of Army Transformation and Innovation, Major-General Ibrahim Sani, remarked that active digitalized road blocks/ checkpoints have been set up to ensure close monitoring of the movements of criminals, improvised explosive devices (IEDs), arms and ammunitions. He added that the new equipment would reduce the traffic hardship to road users in the country.

Onome,

Good analysis! Allow me to add that;

1. By admitting that his army is infiltrated by bokoharam, COAS commits the same blunder that the CiC was guilty of when he admitted his goverment is infiltrated with elements of bokoharam.

2. Such lamentations of helplessness and vulnerability should issue from Shekau and not from the man who heads the highest security apparatus of our sovereingty.

3. Nobody likes the deployment of boots and guns on their soil. It heightens risks, threats, mistrusts and reprisals.

4. When Jaji was attacked by bokoharam a senior Northern Army Officer was fired for the security lapse. Northerners were upset with that outcome. Few weeks after that COAS reshuffled the ranks and promotions and got hammered for playing tribalism card.

5. COAS also gave a public press release, linking fuel tanker from the North with covert operations by boko to bomb Lagos. This revelation was not only untruthful and unprofessional, it created risks to the lives of fuel tankers, most of whom were Northerners..

6. When the State of Emergency was declared, Northern Elders became surrogates and the issue of terrorism thinned out. They see it as an attack on the Northern values, bokoharam or no bokoharam.

7. People who take their grievances to the UN or ICJ with charges of rights abuse often end up also demanding a separation or a autonomous recognition. They position themselves as victims and therefore erect an umbrella of international support to disarm their oppresor, from under which they craftly unleash a devastating attack on their monitored opponent.

A point of correction on something i noticed in your opening, "fulaniland". There is no fulaniland in Nigeria. There is a fulani province and thats Adamawa, part of which used to be Kanuriland.
