ROSSIKE: The Burj is NOT the only 7 star hotel in the world. There are scores of 7 star hotels in existence.

There is no official 7 star hotel anywhere in the world. The official rating for hotels uses a 5 star system. 7 star is just marketing jargon

Nigeria is a joke in many respects. A third world hell-hole grappling with non-existent infrastructures, poor power supply, extensive insecurity, and multi-faceted socio-economic underdevelopment. Yet it reckons that what it needs is a "7 Star" (scoffs) hotel? What a laughable misplacement of priorities.

Then again, misplacing priorities is what we do best as a people and as a country. That's why, in a country experiencing severe homelessness and housing deficit, more and more unoccupied 'luxury' estates are springing up all over the place, whereas no thought is given to low and medium cost housing needed by millions of average working class people.

In any case, since this rubbish is a private project set up as a purely private business concern, it should be regarded merely as such. rather than being paraded as something that adds any value to Nigerians, other than the 1% thieves among the political and business elite that would patronise the place. Anyone who thinks this pretentious, barely 4-star, vanity project would improve Nigeria's tourism rating needs psychiatric evaluation.

1. The private sector is not responsible for infrastructures, they invest, they create jobs and they generate taxes for the state.

2. Knowing this is a private sector project as acknowledged by you, you still ranted ignorantly about infrastructures and misplaced priorities. You are either confused or just like to walk on your brains.

3. Private investments are the main pillars in any economy because they spur economic activities and create jobs, even the money needed by the state to build infrastructures comes from the private sector especially this very project.

4. Since this project can not buid itself, advertise it self, manage and run itself and feed the guests by itself, it means this hotel is going to create tons of jobs for Nigerians, Nigerians are going to build and staff it plus all the other sectors like vendors that feeds off hotel operations.

5. The financial impact is major and the value is significant. Any investment that creates even a single job for any Nigerian adds value talk less this hotel that's obviously destined to create hundreds of it and pump tax money into the state's pocket for roadsm bridges, schools, hospitals and other social projects.

You obviously don't know the meaning of value.

Re think your ignorant and upside down rant for your own good...

Please don't show your ignorance here. Ibb' s inlaw is Sunny Okogwu, not Sunny Odogwu . incase you didn't notice SIO properties was incorporated in 1962 ,before Ibb joined the army. Maybe you are too young to know Dyson and Dicket insurance group. You may wish to ask a certain Deinde Fernandez, he knows his contemporaries.
