morzook: can crowdfunding work in a country like ours? i seriously doubt it.

Kill the doubt, we can do it whichever way we like, call it whatever we like, & it may conquer the world, even if it does not, as long as it solves our problems

Micro-Financing as we know it today was an Asian innovation

People told the Wright brothers that they had lost their minds, am am pretty sure this is minuscule compared to their feat.

DOWNLOAD whatsapp to join in the discussion towards an action plan for the Crowdfunding Initiative.

Thank you.

@Oduz, the land is indeed green, and for once the people would have a genuine chance at it.

Guys, I think I've got a problem with my whatsapp. I can't use it because when I want to load it, it keeps saying, ' your device time and date is incorrect ' while it is. It's frustrating! Any help or alternative?
Re: Crowd Funding In Nigeria. Intelligent minds, lets discuss. by charcoalblaq(m): 1:36pm On Jun 09, 2013
Sorry about that mate. Not a big fan of whatsapp my self.

We would be creating our web platform soon where we can all aggregate, core members, investors, advisors and other participating persons and parties.

Try and do something about the whatsapp though, don't want you missing out on the first direction determining discussions.

it simply means your phone time and date are not correct. Set your time and date in sync with current time and you should be fine.

Great idea! guys. I remember when I first came across Crowd funding, I thought it was brilliant idea but wondered if people from other regions would be willing to fund Entrepreneurs in Africa, especially Nigeria considering the 'prevailing' prejudices about businesses originating from here...

We had our first collective discussion yesterday. It was an intense moment with individual ideas coming in line for the collective goal.

I am very happy with the outcome, and i am happier knowing that there are progressive thinkers in this country. People who ask why not even if they fail they fail forward. We are not going to fail in our quest to solving the big problems of our days. If we could get this number of believers on a thread with barely how many views i wonder how many believers would come on board when we go public really public with this discussions.

For my team mates, i am glad to have you all on board, we have a world to conquer and with our vision and enthusiasm we would not only reach our goals but surpass them.

The country need this, it needs us.

Thank you.

Re: Crowd Funding In Nigeria. Intelligent minds, lets discuss. by charcoalblaq(m): 7:16pm On Jun 17, 2013
Hello y'all.

Thanks for those who showed up at the meet. There is progress, am happy about that.

There is a lot we can do.

However we need some more understanding as regards the kind of company structure that allows for a lot of stake holders, upwards of 50.

Equity Crowd funding may be it if we are not to brush SEC in the process.

Any ideas??

We need them.

I have two project that needs funds to go live but currently am not getting any, I've even applied for Anzigh prize yet they are still to get back to me. This project is all about the needs of People real needs not imagined.
Thats how you succeed you study the needs in the Market you move and take advantage of that, that's what Zegarbeck of Facebook did thats how google came to be that's how iROKOTV started all big and major internet Cooperation has one thing in common-they took advantage of the gap in market.
Crowdfunding is what Nigeria and indeed Africa needs, young minds but no way to obtain funds, go to the bank you must give them something, what happens if you don't have any? No funds for you.
I didn't mention my second project is crowdfunding or did I? My other one is a secret I hold dear lots of study has gone into this one
