Afam4evaIsASlut: Leave that your little village mindset and submit yourself to learning. The famous Iranian cyber clampdown was developed, implemented and delivered to Iran by Nokia. Nokia is not an Iranian coy. Amazing how people who do not understand anything open their mouth in public to make noise. The Reps have no power to suspend any executive policy same way the executive have no power to stop the Reps from implementing their legislative duties. Theat is democracy 101, but thesw ACN kids will not allow us hear word. The reps are playing with your minds. The last time they ordered GEJ to use their report to prosecute subsidy thieves, we all know where it ended...in the shelve. The executive have to engage about 50 othe consulting agencies to study the process and help develop a comprehensive approach. If executive refuses their 'order', what will Reps do? 2 Likes |

Afam4evaIsASlut:How many years will it take Naija to have that expertise? All developed countries have this service and they started from somewhere towards a date to be self sufficient. The truth is that the facility is as essential for the security outfit of Nigeria as every strenght and might they are capable of pulling. I am very sure American government have installed capacity that can spy our emails as at today. 'Techy' guys in the house, please help dispute or otherwise. 1 Like |

I am in complete support for this internet monitoring project in Nigeria. Ibrahim or whatever his name might be should be questioned if he has any skeleton in his closet. If not he should desist from opposing such effort to bring the insurgency and other internet crimes at bay. Go GEJ! Many of us are proudly in support of your plan to provide security for the nation and for the citizens. It must be done through any means possible! 2 Likes |

REHOZIBAH: Write this points down and try to memorise them. 1. Only the house of representative CAN NOT impeach the president. 2. NOT ALL OFFENCES ARE IMPEACHABLE OFFENCE. 3. Tambuwal unlike Mark is an opposition member in PDP. 4. The lion heart is a vain wish for the DOGS |

many of the contributors here have a get a hold of themselves. The House of Representative DO NOT have the powers to stop the President from enforcing a contract just as he CANNOT stop them from debating a bill. fine, there are separation of powers and yes, there are CHECKS AND BALANCES. While checking the powers of the other arm, you have your own limits as well. The Primary function of the House of Representatives is to make Laws. furthermore, they have some other oversight functions. what they are trying to do is not part of the oversight functions. i deride the House of Representatives for DELIBERATELY throwing 'blocks' on the President's way. Politics shoud not be played with everything. Mr Tambuwwal should take note! |

Boko haram sponsors and members in politic will stop at nothing to ensure that the project never see the light of day and the clueless Nigerians will join hands with them. There is no where in the modern world where internet is left porous like nigeria.communications are monitored every where in the world due to the prevailing security challenges posed by likes of bokoharam. |

PEREP: Even though I am doing my darndest to convince myself that I am not replying a Billy-Goat that has somehow been trained by scientists how to talk, I will refrain from insulting you and pretend that I am discussing with a human being. YOU DO NOT OUTSOURCE YOUR INTERNAL SECURITY TO FOREIGN COUNTRIES THAT COULD TURN HOSTILE AT ANY MOMENT! You want the Israelis to help you monitor your citizens emails just because you do not want to be criticized?! Wooow..... You think the Israelis will stop at just the emails of ordinary citizens? They will monitor all Govt chatter too and where does that leave you? They will know all your trade secrets, your foreign policies and defense strategies. They will be privy to the conversations of your leading businessmen and whatever will not benefit their country they will shut it down in a heartbeat through clandestine moves; its like youre whispering your secrets in the ears of the enemy---- And, yes, anything non-Nigerian is your potential enemy, clown. How easy do you think it will be to destabilize your country for their own benefit if they feel like? What stops them from pitting politicians against each other based on info theyve gleamed from their emails then plunging your country into chaos? You really think a foreign country will work in your best interest? Naija man, stop being myopic and think on your own. Stand on your own two feet and stop letting the unbridled hatred in you caused by your intolerance of another's tribe and religion be the reason why your nation will end up in a bloody civil war. P.S: The U.S Govt does not actively monitor its citizens emails without probable cause. That'll be a violation of my right to privacy. We got something called the First Amendment here and thats a very sacred right even Obama dare not violate. 5 Likes |

alaoeri: Tambuwa is really proving to be a torn in flesh for GEJ. So in your wisdom, you believe that when Tambuwal frustrates a project meant to save lives and make Nigeria more secure, he is doing GEJ? 10 years from now, you will explain this your post to your children and tell them you fought against a security measure that would have made their lives better and I will pay anything to see the look on their faces and the names they will call you. You lot are trying to pull Nigeria down and in your funny minds, you think you are doing GEJ. I pity you and I pray you succeed because the end result will be that there will be no more Nigeria to talk about! 1 Like |

maxwello.yg:Most of y'all I guess don't understand the effect and essence of integrity and trust esp. In the hands of cheap people like GEJ, let me ask u and all those supporting the project where u were when the whole boko thing started when GEJ went on air to say he knows the boko sponsors and he's gonna fish them out and after that he promised to end their activities as at last year didn't he Now he culdnt do all those and he implemented state of emergency in the affected states and still no head way yet u think investing $40M dollz will solve this issue and even if it will come to think of it don't u think N6B is just too much for that kind of project which by 2015 will be no more, give 10% of that money to experts and dey will fish out and tap out all IP's they use for communicating within days, so if u see Nigerians venting their annoyance and insulting GEJ really to an extent they are right cuz the dude isn't a seasoned politician and without any apology he is really clueless, he shld go and read 48laws of power and within a month he shld be able to end this whole boko thing, if only he could arrest their top sponsors all these would have been a thing of the past all along but he can't cuz he is confused and deterred with minor issues like fighting Ameachi with all his might SMFH! |

oddy4real: many of the contributors here have a get a hold of themselves. The Primary function of the House of Representatives is to make Laws. furthermore, they have some other oversight functions. what they are trying to do is not part of the oversight functions. Are you aware that every penny the Executive spent must be passed in Budget; and that budget is a law? The question now becomes, was the security contract in the budget and if it is; does the Legislature have power to remove it? From my humble understanding, if it is in the passed budget, the Rep will need the senate and the President assent or a 2/3 over-ride to reverse what is already passed in the budget. But if it is not; then the President has no power to spend such money. Also remember the Rep have power to pass any resolution and can start an impeachment process against the President at will. However, to get through an impeachment process, the must follow the constitutional requirement and must get the support of the Senate. In essence, in real democracy, the Legislature have more powers than the executive; but they must act as a group. 2 Likes |

oddy4real: Can you award a contract outside funds that have been approved in the budget? What if such funds have not been approved? Also they can pass anything in terms of resolution if considered to be in the interest of the nation. And if enough of them are convinced the President did enough harm by neglecting any of their resolution, an i,impeachment process can be started. Mark my word: enough of them!!! |

This foreign private security happens in many country. Nigeria is not the first and will not be the last to get foreign private security in the system. The truth is that Nigerians cannot do this their own, so they should get those who know involved. They are going to be working along with the Nigerians. This is not the only security issue the Israelis have been involved with in Nigeria. I once heard most of the governors employed them as bodyguards to information collations. So, this rambling about jeopardizing the national security. When we know what Boko Haram and the internet marauders have done to the image of Nigeria at home and abroad. Go GEJ! I am in support of this. |

Afam4evaIsASlut: Ok, I take that you are not a security expert but even at that your analysis fly in the face of common sense. The contract is meant to gather security intelligence. How do you think that develop nations stay ahead of the game in the fight against terrorism. The only thing that big heads like you and your co travellers (ie Tambuwal, Tinubu, Liemohammed etc) know is politics. Please if and whenever you and your cohorts gets to ASO Rock you can then play politics with people's live but for now shut da f up |
