CFCfan: The Brave Warriors of Namibia will host the Super eagles of Nigeria in a 2014 FIFA world cup qualifier in Windhoek, Namibia. It will be recalled that the eagles defeated the Namibians 1-0 in the first leg in Calabar in June 2012. Ike Uche scored the only goal of the game.

The Super eagles can advance to the playoff round of the African qualifying zone, if they beat Namibia, and Malawi fail to beat Kenya. The reigning African champions can also extend their unbeaten run in FIFA World cup qualifiers to an astonishing 23 consecutive matches.

Namibia head coach resigns



John Muinjo, the president of Namibia Football Association (NFA), has announced the resignation of head coach, Roger Palmgren.

According to Muinjo, the coach who has been in charge for just six weeks, decided to step aside with immediate effect last weekend, due to ‘serious death threats’ targeted at him and his family.

Palmgren did not return to Namibia with the rest of the squad after their game against Malawi, but flew to South Africa on Friday.

The shock decision comes just two days before the Brave Warriors face the Super Eagles of Nigeria, in a FIFA 2014 World Cup qualifying game. The NFA has however called on Namibians to get behind the team.

“We call upon the nation to continue rallying behind the Brave Warriors in our quest for qualification to Brazil 2014,” the NFA said in a press release.

Ricardo Mannetti and Ronnie Kanalelo will be in charge of the team’s match against Nigeria on Wednesday.
This should giver super Eagles of Nigeria the edge.

No No. This is the time the Super Eagles should be more courteous because the players would be out to confidently do everything possible to ensure their coach's resignation does'nt affect their results; but, I pray they will fail in Jesus name.

But be rest assured we CANNOT pair against CIV, Ghana/Zambia, Mali/Algeria, or Tunisia.

My hope is that we don't pair against Egypt or burkinafaso/Congo either. . .but the others are very much welcome.
