1MCN: The achievements of Fashola in Lag is self-evident. So I dont think Labran should have used such a puerile flippancy to deride or water down the streaks of Fashola.
But however, I dont think Fashola and GEJ are on the same pedestal. Office of the Gov of Lagos state cant be compared with the most powerful office in the African continent. The challenges and the interests are parallel.
Then, we're talking about Fashola's 6yrs in office against GEJ's 2yrs. I think they dont add very well. Maybe we would need a comprehensive score card of Fashola's 2yrs in office too so we can better compare notes (putting other factors into consideration though).
Finally, I want to let some Lagosians here on NL remember that after ABJ Lag is the second state with the highest Federal govt interest and presence. When Fed govt does a project in Lag Fashola takes the glory. Well, insofar as the people get better live, the glory can go to anyone for all I care. But I think GEJ has done for Lagos more in this 2yrs than most other presidents.

I agree with you. But the more noble reason is that the it makes logic and sense that states should manage virtually everything within their domain, all roads inclusive. We will have better view at accountability at this rate. When you give a minister a budget that is more than the allocation of some states, equity is reversed and looting will be the order of the day.
