This is how governance should be, as politics is diferent from governance. When in politics, self-interest might be the watchword for the party members; but when in governance, common-interest should be the key to deliver good governance. What some of our politicians don't know is that when an administrator is performing well, it will help them build up their ideology so that they can present an better alternative to the one in power. If the people are convinced enough, they vote them in and if not voted-in, they learn from the mistakes and polish on their delivery and give it a go another time. Good one from the lawmakers at OYHA, as I don't see them as oppositions at all so far they are serving the interest of the people that voted them to office. 3 Likes |

Oppositions are but few in the oyo state house of assembly! They are well out numbered even when a vote is casted against a decision! If they wanna act tough, they will suffer!!! And their own share of 'ghana-must-go' according to political right in Nigeria go dey jump them pass be that! 1 Like |

On reflection, "governance" is a better choice of words. Your post is a good one all round. |

The Deputy Speaker, Babatunde Olaniyan, who is of the Accord Party, said the governor was not only industrious but also accountable.I say to the marines. This guy now belongs to ACN/SENACO. One of the id.iots who helped Ajimobi to renege on his agreement with Ladoja. He belongs to SENACO right now. |

I see the vote of confidence as a true representation of the state of affairs in Oyo State. I believe money is not everything and hence it will be unfair to label such moral voices as wolves or traitors just cos they are not playing politics of bitterness. Must there be a price on saying the truth always? How many will collect ghana-must-go and still backstab the gov? And by the way,it is a better business for the opposition in Oyo state to condemn the gov than lauding him cos the accord party(ladoja) and PDP(akala) in Oyo state are working together to wrestle power from ACN and the PDP will stop at nothing to fund Ladoja and any other opposition voice. We should credit the brave legislatures. The Gov shouldn't be carried away, IN IBADAN 2 YEARS IS TOO LONG A TIME FOR THE TALKING DRUM TO CHANGE ITS MELODY. In Oyo,their song is "keep on dancing, you are on your own....' |

Actually, I was in IB yesterday, and I couldn't recognize Ojoo again. Never believed one could ply Ojoo-Moniya road without hold-up; and I was told Mokola too is like that. Kudos to Him, He's doing a good job. |

Ola one:Are Onireke, Mokola, challenge, Aleshinloye, Beere, Taki ogbomoso, Owode Oyo, Saki and Iseyin too FG projects. Why not speak the truth for once even though you have given your life to the devil? Ajimobi is trying and an Akala or Ladoja in govt house again will be a set back for Oyo state. 8 Likes |

SLIDE waxie: Oppositions are but few in the oyo state house of assembly! They are well out numbered even when a vote is casted against a decision! You definitely do not know what you write! Accord and PDP lawmakers in Oyo State house of assembly have enough numbers to make life hell for the governor (15 out of 32), he went into alliance with Accord party to have the needed peace. You would need to keep up with Ibadan politics to be able to make informed comments. |
Re: Opposition Lawmakers Hail Ajimobi's Achievements by igbonla(m): 7:40am On Jun 15, 2013 |
Ola one: Any right thinking person would renege on the agreement with Accord party, please go read Ajimobi's letter to Sen Ladoja on the removal of Accord party's nominees into government. Sen Ladoja has been attacking the governor on mundane issues, even some of his party people do not agree with him. |
