automaticcarzz: Schools are like that in every part of Nigeria. What stops parents from buying furniture for their kids to use in their classrooms. Government cannot do everything alone. In the U.S, rich individuals contribute money to fund schools. Rich individuals don't care in Nigeria.
Which school in the U.S From the little I know schools (Elementary through High School)are funded from property Tax in most states,If the need arises sales tax are bumped up to meet deficit even at that schools are closing (due to lack of funds) and students merged with other existing schools in the District as seen in Volusia County Florida recently if you know of a school wen one Big man de bankroll let us know I beg. grin grin

What a big shame and all this time I thought Lagos would be the state I relocate to when I'm done here.

You would think a state with suspension bridges, modern toll gates and ocean reclamation projects would

have decent class rooms for it's children, I'm just so disappointed right now I can't even hide my shame.

This is a very bad omen to lagos acn and their cohort. What bafles me most is the way acn apologist sees nothing wrong in their bad act. The last time i check, i did not see any area in any lg in Niger state were pupils or students were learning under trees, nor on the floor, nor under leaking roofs.
This was not also a common sight in ekiti, ondo, and river state . It was also okey in Akwa ibom , Edo, imo, katsina, bauchi, gombe, cross river, anambra state .
Even such states like Edo, Ondo, Rivers, Akwa ibom, Imo, Katsina, and Niger, have a master plan for education. While lagos have no future policy for education. Shame to fashola, shame to ekoile and other apologist like you. I know you pigs are under fashola peanut payrole.

I really don't understand the argument here. Our leaders do not invest in education at all. What they know best is to build structures and the public dances around. What about the quality of learning and the academic qualifications of the teachers. Many public and even private teachers do not update themselves anymore with current situations. Our universities continue to lecture with the theories of the 1960s. School administrators only embezzle money without any impact. How is the government going to wipe out poverty if they do not address education properly. A well educated man can fend for himself. Our leaders are the first to send their children out of the country because they know that the quality of education in the country is poor. However, they do not intend to address the problem.

Please lets stop making excuses for our Government/Public Leaders. None of them is working, I cannot understand why someone would provide social infrastructure and tax its people after all the internal generated revenue from taxes and land sales and also from federal allocations. To me I think our state governors are the devil in our lives.
