Vandals now on rampage! I don't know why there can't be an effective policing of pipelines across the nation. It should be a case of a child who doesn't want her mother to sleep.

If government starts to make policies now and enforce laws on vandals. It will be the same Nairalanders that will start shouting 'laws is only for the poor', 'they are thieves too', 'clueless government' blah blah blah. How that one take concern anybody? whether they are corrupt or not, inasmuch as the law is not out of place, just obey them.
Most times we forget these laws are to safeguard us and bring sanity to the society at the end of the day.
Its not as if, politicians will be the one to have accidents when you are overspeeding, driving against traffic or hawking on highways. Now that pipelines are blowing up, does it affect the government in any strong way? I don't think so.
The problem in Nigeria right now is not policies and laws, the problem is citizens obeying them. But when Government decides to enforce the laws, we throw insults at them.

Sometimes i wonder if Nigerians really know what they want. Or maybe they are just clueless on how things work.

When there is a problem in Nigeria. The government should carry-out holistic solution. I knew that the vandals that were chased from Lagos will definitely look for a nearby pipeline to burst again. Lets government punished any offender irrespective of their status in the society.
