I won't recommend Ben 10 for children under 12 years old cos of the violent scenes. Even the dialogue is not something an average 5 year old will understand. As much as I dislike teletubbies and the likes, I enjoy watching my two year old sing and dance along with them. We have to be careful about what our children watch on tv, most of them are moulded by what they watch.

Not at all, I am a big fan of Nickelodeon animations. 'The Mighty B' has to be the wackiest cartoon that I actually like.

Before i had my baby, i vowed i d never let my children watch dt cartoon. I remember i once ask a friend why she allows her son watch dt 'thing'. How can a kid turn into a monster all d tym? It quite horrifying. I make sure my baby watches educative ones like mickey mouse, dr. Mcstuffings, Zou, e.t.c all on disney junior. N they r quite educative. That 'ben 10' encourages violence.

@ topic, there's ABSOLUTELY nothing wrong with Ben10. I got to watch Voltron, Terra-Hawks, and even Star Wars as a kid, and I turned out alright. As a matter of fact, these programs fuelled my interest in aviation.

Yes, we once got one of those 7-in 1 cartoon DVDs about 5 years back with Lion King, Beauty & the Beast etc. Only for hubby to walk in and see a sex scene showing. He broke the DVD and that was the end of buying those.

Bottom line is we as parents have to scrutinize the contents of TV programs for our children and wards. My children are now 10 and 8, and have never been allowed to watch Cartoon Network because I also believe many of the cartoons on that channel are not children-oriented. There is a variety of other channels that offer age-appropriate educative, informative and entertaining programs for children. #myopinion

personally, I wouldn't encourage children to watch cartoon networks( violent or not). most of these cartoon programmes/movies can be linked or associated with demonic activities. in cartoon movies, you will see different kinds of occultism symbols that can actually corrupt, influence or even possess little children to act like those characters in the carton movies. A friend of mine is currently carrying out research on the effect of carton programmes on children. And currently the result is seen now is full of negative impact. When we were growing up was Voltron violient,was speed racer violent,Iron man,spiderman and super man cartoon must also be violeint then,was using a toy gun violent,guess watching super Ted is also violent.
God,u guys should let kids be kids,let them enjoy their childhood abi u no enjoy ur own?

This what most of you are getting wrong. Ben 10 has a child as a major character unlike cartoons of olden days.

Kids are bound to feel if Ben 10 can do this I can because they are in same age grade: if Ben 10 can disrespect his grandfather all the time, disobey rules, fight with his female cousin, beat up/destroy those whose ideals are different from his then they too the kids can.

I have taught children below ten years and I was shocked at the actions they carry out which were imitations from media products.

And to those of you claiming you turned out alright, all I have to say is that your choice of words in addressing someone whose opinion is different from yours connotes a violent tendency.
