It was a horrible competition for Spain, they did not look convincing from the first game, they struggled to impose their game. Vincente Del Bosque made it worse by changing the formation that had brought them success in past competitions, i expected them to play the false 9 formation with Fabregas, but he was carried away by the scoring form of some of his forwards and paid dearly. This is a new generation of Brazil with a totally different style of play, although not the Samba we are used to, they are physically strong in Marquinho and Gustavo and proved they have the stamina to withstand possessive football while pressing high up the pitch, winning the ball and forcing a counter attack. 1 Like |
