Some churches even have choreography team who specialises in HIP-HOP steps. Likewise, you have some churches who are as good as singing FUJI lyrics more than PASUMA.....as a xtian, is it right, proper or not really a sin?

The old testament isrealites never used rap,r n b, raggae, fuji, dancehall, hip-hop etc to praise God and He manifested, so i see no reason why we should be copying the devil and thinking God is pleased.

think is unduly brazen & disrespectful to Christianity.

If however, reggae, hip hop, afro beat, soft rock and such in their moderate forms are used to compose glorifying and edifying music, again IMHO, I think it's ok.
I left out some forms of rock like the metal variation 'cos at. first listen alone, it feels like a demon jumped at me. I may be wrong.

you are so on point,jux to add a little. as someone said earlier,the "ewi" form of praise that is very popular these days in christian congregations and music was once used to praise obas and traditional deities,does that make it a sin? apparently not since none of the theologists here have condemmned it. also;something funny i found out,the hymns that you people have been shouting have their origins in egyptian,hinduist and greek deity worship,the first recorded "hymn was to an to an egyptian god, the word hymn is derived from a greek word meaning "songs of worship" who do you think they were worshipping then?

in conclusion,i think there is nothing inherently wrong in any kind of music,the spririt behind the rendition is what matters.

The sin consciousness in some christians is baffling to say the least, it's like they think sin 24-7. Casting crown songs sounds like soft rock, dietrick haddon sang "he never fails me" and it had reggae tune all tru and we enjoyed them and never deemed them inappropriate or devilish and now some are trying to denigrate our indigenous genre of music calling them satanic.

Do u feel the ambience wen u hear songs like "alagbara bi ara" , "kabiyeosi baba" , "onye ne mme nma" or "o'tua ka chineke anyi di, agidigba o"with the "bata" and other instruments. U need to see those Yoruba women doing "komole". That feeling cannot be bought with a million dollars and God aint angry at dat so long the lyrics aren't obscene and it edifies ur spirit.
