You're in a relationship with a man, maybe for about 2-3 months or so and nothing seem to be heading in the direction you would have expected, which worries you a lot. And because of this, you decided to take the bold step by asking HIM the big question "where are we headed? "

Then surprisingly, your MAN tells you that he cares about you... BUT...he needs "more time." Or any number of reasonable or unreasonable excuses as to why he can't answer your questions or make a commitment to you RIGHT NOW.

And this hurts you so much as all you wanted was to know where the relationship was heading!. You weren't trying to hassle him or force him to make a decision on the spot. You just wanted to know where you stand as a couple.

Now YOU'RE angry, HE'S angry, and you regret ever having brought it up and all this now scares you.

THE TRUTH IS:

Men and women have different timelines when it comes to commitments in relationships. A woman may think "it's time" for a man to commit after a certain number of months. But it's not necessarily the same way a man thinks.

A man decides he wants to be with YOU and ONLY YOU based on how you make him FEEL. Whether it's been 2 weeks, 2 months, or 2 years. It doesn't matter. So focusing on how to make a man feel a lot comfortable with you seem like a good deal for me.

And if you ever feel that nothing you do ever seem to work with your man... Girl you may want to reconsider your options.

Yes! I said so because one major reason a man would lock himself up from receiving or to acknowledge your efforts in such situation is because HE'S NOT READY OR DOESN'T WANT YOU IN THE LONG TERM BUT DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO BREAK THE NEWS TO YOU.

@op.....it is not that a man is not ready or doesn't want the gal in d long run, just that ladies want guys to commit even b4 d guy falls in luv with them and also, commitment in a man can only come directly from him alone. Most times, If a lady asks a man up to 2 times to commit to her, d man may start loosin interest in her and be tired of her.

A man can only commit to a lady from his heart wen it comes naturally, maybe if his heart has accepted her already as his woman for his life, if maybe there is sometin abt her that makes him always want to be wit her 4 d rest of his life or maybe becos of d kind of affection she has shown him, whatever sha......bt ladies should stop askin guys everyday abt d way foward, askin once or twice shud be enuf to decide wether d guy wants u forever or if he is just passing by

for us guys, commitment is sometin we are scared of, infact wen we tink of a gal gettin pregnant for us, we get scared (xpecially if we re not workin yet or if we re nt yet ready to be a daddy) unlike ladies that most times fantasize abt gettin pregnant and havin babies, etc we want to commit and get married one day, but we need time to commit....so ladies shud be a bit patient atimes.
