The French authorities are THIEVES! How can you seize a mansion of 600K Euros and auction it for just 200k Euros? This seems like a conspiracy. It hurts so much to see you nairalanders above talk trash about a fellow Nigerian. Most celebs around the world have had issues with their taxes & its no big deal. I believe they do so willingly and only act like they were unaware when they get caught/audited. |

If govt sells through an auction house, the govt must take a huge cut cos auction is cash and carry business or they can put it on the market and it might take years to sell and cost maintenance and upkeep would be accruing 1 Like |

You will struggle to find a decent 2 bedroom flat for €600,000 in decent parts of Paris. Bear in mind a 5 bedroom house in Lekki 1 is roughly the same price as this so called mansion (N125 million) 1 Like |

In french law, you are considered guilty first until you prove your innocence, unlike Nigeria law which pronounce you innocent until you are proven guilty. |
