Religion? In the so-called developed countries, which age group have the highest number of abortion...teenagers (13-18). How many so-called babies (18yrs below) are virgin? Islam seeks balance and a world free of promiscuity...if a girl of 14 can have sex around and its not a problem, then getting married at that age should not be a problem. Approving marriage of girls 18 below (so-called under-aged) is just an attempt to help matters. If you dont want marriage to a girl less than 18, then you should put a ban on sex with the so-called under-aged ladies. But is that possible? Take a statistic of secondary school adolescent females and you will find out that they are far more advanced sexually than we imagine! How many 15yrs old girls are still virgin? The religion of Islam states clearly how things are done and when they are done...with clearly established rules! It should be noted that for those who are well informed, marriage does not stop a girl's education.
