Dame Patience Jonathan's mother has, yesterday, died in a ghastly motor accident around Elele part of the East West road while on her way to Bayelsa state.

She was popularly called Sese. SESE (in Okrika language) simply means mother.
A source from Okrika who reported the incident said the deceased might not be the biological mother of Mrs Jonathan, adding that the first lady probably took her as a mother.

“I am not sure she was the mother. But she (Dame Patience) probably chose to call her mother”, the source said.

Bayelsa State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Angela Agabe has admitted that the police have no signal yet on the incident.

Effort to get the state government to comment on the sad incident have not yielded fruits as text messages sent to the mobile line of the Chief Press secretary to the governor, Mr Dave Iyofor and the Commissioner for Information and Communications, Mrs Ibim Semenitari were yet to be responded to.

According to eyewitness sources, the remains of SESE had since been deposited at Kpaima mortuary in Diobu area of Port Harcourt.
