Nigeria May Disintegrate If Jonathan Contests In 2015 –shuluwa by olupenko: 9:36pm On Jul 24, 2013
Former member of the Revenue Mobilisation, Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) representing Benue State, Abu King Shuluwa, has said that Nigeria may disintegrate if President Goodluck Jonathan contests in 2015.

He, however, noted that if President Jonathan does not heed the calls by those he christened “political jobbers” to contest the 2015 presidential elections, then he will stop the nation from disintegrating.

The elder statesman, who gave the warning while speaking with newsmen in Makurdi on Thursday while reacting to the recent Abuja High Court ruling, which cleared the President to contest the 2015 presidential election, said should Jonathan contest the election, Nigeria may descend into a state of anarchy.

His words: “Any attempt by Jonathan to run for the election would plunge this country into total anarchy or revolution because the people feel betrayed by a president who told them that he would run for one term and thereafter return power to the North”.

Shuluwa added, “The people urging him to contest are the cabal and political jobbers surrounding Jonathan because of their selfish interest, which is against the wishes of the majority of Nigerians. They forget that they are very few in number compared to the rest of Nigerians.

“I saw a vision of the country disintegrating by 2015, but the only person that can save Nigeria from the impending disintegration is President Jonathan and he can do that by not contesting the 2015 presidential election, he said.

Describing them as “Selfish people who do not have the interest of the country at heart at all”, he warned Jonathan to “be weary of them because when the revolution comes, it will not leave anybody behind.

“Nigerians are saying he should not contest. If he does, then he is calling for the total revolution, which will affect every household.

“That revolution will start the day Jonathan is announced as the candidate of the PDP. If he dares win the election, he will hardly be sworn-in because of the revolution”.

The question is, why would his re-election cuase the disintegration of Nigeria? So if Buhari or Tinubu or even Al mustapha wins, Nigeria will remain one?
Why do I have the feeling that this Jonathan is being witch-hunted? Why won't he do two terms like the others before him?
On a second thougth, if his re- election will truelly make Nigeria to disintegrate, so be it. After all, we all agreed that we have lost faith in this despicable cesspit of a nation.

Not a stunch Jonathan supporter, but this point of reasoning is usuless. The man made no sense at all. Jonathan is constitutionally qualified to contest.

anoda fool out to seek attention. GEJ will contest, we will all see it and Nigeria will remain its shaky self. The country has had kwashiokor since the time of shagari's era and it's not a northern that would have the answers Nigeria's malady. Those people don't know where their asses are. Look at all their elites, very selfish hopeless people. All they like is to be revered by their constituents (to be called Rankadede) without doing anything. Look at Atiku, Yerima to name a few.

For one, GEJ promised he would serve one term only! Two, going back on his words would make him what? Thirdly, the country is already in a state of anarchy under his rule. For your information, there are worse countries than Nigeria and calling her a cesspit shows your kind of loyalty, respect for your elders and disposition.

Almost every politician promised to stay for a tenure but what happened @ the end, some started looking for a 3rd tenure. So why should GEJ's case be different? Infact tell me a Nigerian politician from 1999 - date that only did 1 term in office and had an opportunity of going for another but didn't take the offer or exercise his right/power?

If the constitution says he's eligible, let him contest. If majority don't like him, then let the majority prove it by voting him out and not by threatining fire and brimstone if Mr President gets a PDP ticket

Truth is if GEJ doesn't contest, he will be declared a persona non grata in the south south.

Please let Nigeria disintegrate for the following reasons:

1. no fulani cattle will ravage my farm land again
2. No more islamic terrorism
3. no more child marriage
4. we will fully realize our potentials
5. no more 2 cut-off mark for lazy while we are given 200
6. we will forever live happily
7. why will three individuals with no cultural, social, or religious relations be asked to stay together?

Abu Shuluwa so be it. Some of us may not support GEJ, but if Northerners keep spitting nonsense like this, we may as well throw our wait behind GEJ and let's see what will happen.
Let the come, come and the happen, happen.....(apologies Blue eyes1)

If one man's exercise of his constitutional right leads to the disintegration of the a country, them such country was never meant to be.

A good reason to VOTE GEJ in 2015!
