gottfried21: After so many years of war, I thought the country was on a path to peace and prosperity, apart from the restiveness in Cabinda, the country seems pretty peaceful to me. We also cannot rule out the recent oil slump as a source of fuel for this current insurrection. Anyway, if it were an english speaking country there would have been a lot more news coverage on some of these issues. |

A Turkish convoy, which according to some reports was transporting weapons to terrorist organizations, has been hit by apparent airstrikes in northwestern Syria. Footage released online by the Istanbul-based Humanitarian Relief Foundation (IHH) shows plumes of smoke from the burning trucks and people running about in panic. At least 20 trucks were engulfed in flames. The mission, however, wasn’t sponsored or organized by the IHH, the group said. No organization has as yet confirmed that the convoy belonged to them. giles14: The 101 was always going to replace the 109. It is the 109 that should be transferred to the military or sold. |

Henry240: Why. Why cant he use a regular helicopter that could then be used for other military roles. It seems like a massive waist to have a helcopter that can now do only one job. |
Re: African Militaries/ Security Services Strictly Photos Only And Videos Thread by Nobody: 8:45am On Nov 27, 2015 |
andrewza: The Nigerian military cannot spare any helicopter for the President's junketing. There are many reasons why, unavailability, maintenance, competing priorities et al. The President moves around the country a lot, it makes sense to have his transport available whenever and wherever he needs it. 1 Like |

Henry240: Then why can zuma his wives, all our senior officers and Minster of defence use our standard helicopters that can then be used for any other task. |
