Watch the video on Channels Tv carefully, after they showed the green Diamond Trainer Aircraft, which one of NAF spokeman said 'will soon be put out of service', they showed a small white Aircraft flying and later taxying on the runway.

PRIMARY FLYING TRAINING: SUPER MUSHSHAK TO REPLACE DA-40 AIRCRAFT
The Nigerian Air force signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Saheen Foundation, Pakistan Air Force (PAF) to acquire a squadron of MFI Super Mushshak aircraft that would replace the Diamond-40 aircraft currently being used for primary flying training at the 301 Flying Training School (301 FTS), Kaduna. The decision to acquire the Super Mushshak was informed by the unsuitability of the Diamond aircraft for aerobatics which is a critical aspect of military pilot training. The MoU is one of the fallouts of an earlier visit to Pakistan by the Chief of Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, to undertake firsthand assessment of possible technology and platform that can be acquired to enhance the current operational status of the NAF. The CAS, while re-emphasising the importance of primary flying in the NAF, pointed out that it is important for every student pilot to be exposed to aerobatics, especially at the primary flying training stage, regardless of their flying career projections. This, he said, would broaden their skills and enhance their flying proficiency on the subsequent platforms. Air Mshl Abubakar noted that the DA-40 aircraft, currently employed for primary flying training in the NAF, is not designed for aerobatics hence the demand for a trainer aircraft that is more suitable for such role. Besides, the CAS stated that the number of the DA-40 aircraft available is not sufficient to train the 90 student pilots scheduled to undergo initial pilot training for year 2016 at the 301 FTS, Kaduna. Built by Pakistan Aeronautical Complex, the Super Mushshak is an upgraded version of the MFI-17 Mushshak with an advanced 260hp engine, electrical instruments, dual flight control systems and a bendix fuel injection system. Unlike the DA-4O, the Super Mushshak meets the modern requirements in primary and instrument flying with the US FAR 23.

The Green Aircraft is a Donier DO-228 light transport aircraft. The Mushak was mentioned but not shown.

The small white aircraft taxing is the Diamond which is to be phased out for not meeting basic fighter piloting requirements.

$25 million can't be for the Super Mushak. What i however do think is, the budget outlay doesn't represent what has actually been negotiated. The budget we've all seen says only 10 aircraft, while the air force is saying they are getting a Squadroun (24 aircraft).

Or, what is budgeted for only represents what would be gotten in this fiscal year, and not the total quantity of equipment signed up for.

Oga Rugged, Na Oga Henry get post at least despite his banned old moniker we old timers know that much, We all like the post and each person dun contribute in one way or the other. personally I go salute all of una wey dey make my evening everyday by posting some of the rarest photographs about African militaries up here. Una dun try both the North Africans, the west Africans, the East Africans and the South Africans we all form an intricate network that keeps this thread going, from the neutral non commenting subscriber to the elite contributors whose mastery of military terminologies and systems can only be matched by that of old military strategists in the field. Oga Henry Abeg take am easy with our southern brothers they are not from Nigeria and may not have that cautious and diplomatic spirit which sets the Nigerian man apart, but they do have a good quality and that is loyalty and you must respect that for old time sake they have stayed with us before and after the hack, some of them are now familiar with the name of some north eastern towns and cities because of this long term intercourse, Our brothers from the south please let's try to take things easy. the Kenyans have kept us in the loop in developments from east Africa. We ve spend years reading each other's comment so I think by now we should be able to just ignore some things for the common good.

Bros Weytin happen na.

Na you go produce the missile and other components for them?

Installing a missile will need many other things to be incorporated in the ship which am very sure they didn't budget for and to be sincere, we don't have the technology yet.
Ibla, how are you?
Please support and vote for my friend, optional1 for miss nairaland. I am counting on your vote oooo.. thanks.

The frontal arc in the 2016 model has been up-armoured unlike the 2015 model.

I dont think the first one is Bumerang... it looks like the Russio-Franco joint project "Atom" with the turret they designed for Bumerang. You can tell by the front two wheels (hull forms a perfect T shape)

Obviously, Bumerang borrows allot of its design from "Atom"

Check very well, go back to Bumerang photos of 2015. You can also see Russian service members close to the Bumerang in photo 1. While the ATOM is a failed joint project.

These two pictures are message carriers. They are so powerful that only the insightful will spot the power they wield.
One would think they are movie posters.
Lovely pics.

No point depending on the SANDF when there are already tons of dedicated military photographers and film-makers with front row access to your military.

Not required, Dean Wingrin, Doug, Darren Oliver, Mistral, Airfire photography all got the SANDF covered. Even Frumentius of Nairaland........ Speaking of Frumentius, I wonder where that "skinny" white boy went?
