I have my doubt. I respect his integrity but governance is more than just integrity; the time when you can run a country like a boot- camp is gone. Now, you have to use more persuasion and you have to be extremely careful about the kind of people you bring into government.

Of course in ACN, they don’t even pretend they are democratic because they do not hold primaries. Whoever is appointed by the leader of the party, is the person that will contest. Politics in a democracy would have to be different with politics in fascistic system; you must allow the people the right to choose the leaders they want and allow them to punish those leaders when they don’t perform.

'As far as I’m concerned, performance doesn’t guarantee you the appellation or the nickname of ‘progressive.’ We have had this fraud coming out of the South-west throughout the history of Nigeria. Every day, they have a fascist party with socialist slogan and they say it is a progressive party. But some of us have said no; that is not what is called a progressive party and I remember very well that late Professor Chinua Achebe said several times, that the essence of the propaganda about progressive politics in the West is nothing but fraud.
