Former military president, Ibrahim Babangida has given thumps- up to the Lagos state governor, Babatunde Fashola on what he calls the giant strides taken in the development of infrastructure in the state.

Babangida who came in company of another former head of state General Abdulsalami Abubakar to commiserate with the governor, over the loss of his father, said he is impressed with the performance of governor Fashola and asked other state governors to emulate him.

Members of the Fashola family were on hand to receive the two former heads of state.

Governor Fashola is indeed a really calm, measured and likable person! RIP to his dad! I couldn't but mention that he also seems to enjoy good will among the generality of Nigerians (big or small, old and young MINUS the haters of course! I wish him all the best and should he be aspiring to lead this country, there will be no better leadership blessing for Nigeria at this time!

In spite of all the political jabs, tribalistic slurs and ethnic chants, these people still recognize and acknowledge respect to the brains holding the reins of Lagos State. No matter how the detractors try and lie, they can not and will not be able to erase the fact that this Governor has surpassed other Governors in all ramifications. Eko o ni Baje! Shikena!
