eeh. . . methinks this was quite easy!
Get a visa of another country, maybe the the Swiss visa. Afterwards, he can go and apply 4 the British Visa.
He should state on the form that he had been refused a visa before. They would have 2 assume that the the other visa (swiss or wherever) was superimposed on the refusal stamp.
It's very unlikely they would bother asking "what happened to the stamp?" when he has already told the truth in his application form that he has been refused before.

I also agree.

Just that the UK refusal stamp is placed on the last passport page and unless the whole passport is filled with visas, there is really no excuse to place a visa on that page.

Me thinks he should just go ahead and apply, state in the forms that he has been previously refused, quote the reference number and if he is asked about the stamp (which might not happen),he should feign ignorance/surprise.
Re: Uk Visa /seychelles by PapaBrowne(m): 4:04am On Jun 06, 2008
Oh, they have a specific page for the refusal stamp! Kai these British folks sef!
As you said, I think he should just go ahead and apply and state it truly that he's been refused before.

Yeah, na so them dey do. The Irish embassy does the same thing too. Irrespective of whether or not the applicant is given the visa, the passport is stamped . . . on the last passport page as well.

THIS SHOULD BE HELPFUL! Little Said

Four case studies of recent UKvisas successes:

Ghana
An applicant applied for settlement in the UK to join his British wife. However, checks showed that he had applied previously for a UK visa in Lagos claiming to be a Nigerian national born in Lagos. Furthermore, biometric checks revealed that he had previously sought to remain in the UK indefinitely, used a different identity and date of birth, this time as a Sierra Leonean national. He was arrested by the local authorities in Accra.

Islamabad
A biometrics check helped to identify a Pakistani passport holder who made an undisclosed asylum claim as an Afghani national. The applicant had travelled to the UK on a number of occasions, but whilst in the UK he had made an asylum claim using a different identity and nationality. His application was refused.

Lagos
An applicant applied for a visa, claiming never to have been to the UK before. He stated that he had never travelled outside of Nigeria before, but a biometric match revealed that he had previously been to the UK and his fingerprints had been taken at Gatwick whilst travelling under a different name. His application was refused.

Abuja
An applicant stated on his visa application form that he had never visited the UK before. But biometrics fingerscan records held in the UK indicate that he had in fact, previously been in the UK and sought to claim asylum. The information revealed as a result of the biometric check lead to the application being refused.
Re: Uk Visa /seychelles by funkybaby(f): 5:35pm On Jun 06, 2008
@segzy

Take time to read through a thread before posting.

Darkroll had already stated that at the time his brother applied, the biometrics systems for visa applicants was yet to be implemented at BHC, Nigeria.

This means that they have no records of his biometrics. So all you have posted has no relevance to this case in question, besides the guy has no intention of denying that he had previously been refused the visa, the problem here is just the refusal stamp on the passport undecided

darkroll:

yes you are right that there was no biometirc system yet when he applied
Re: Uk Visa /seychelles by ty4real(m): 6:04pm On Jun 06, 2008
@Darkroll!

I think you have been given adequate advice here, make sure he states in the new application form that he has been refused before, let them crack their brains on how the refusal stamp is not on the passport, after all you have been truthful enough to let them know you had applied before.

Where is that Tegese asylum seeker of a person? grin grin

visa officer, did i address you? if you were that good at visa issues, why was your first post in the "uk visa appeal thread" about your family members being refused visas?
@ segesege,

It is when higher level idiots like you talk, I indeed know whoever came up with the word ''idiot'' should have be thanked!

Keep going around and sniffing for errors with peoples problems from their postings on the forum and using it to attack them. A complete disgrace to manhood. I won't be surprised if in real life, you look like a dog, worthy of sniffing bags and those with asylum histories. grin

A man like you seeking for asylum, while those far younger than you are making a heaven of a living big-time. Internet amebo and olofofo.

Ta! if you do not know what to say, why don't you just keep quiet and move along.

@ darkroll,

Why is your brother thinking of traveling to Switzerland? Do you think that will be an added on credibility to his travel status when applying to the British High Commission subsequently?

One thing is certain here, his passport has been tampered with, and even if he travels to the whole of Europe, he will one day want to travel to UK, and DANG!!!! there pops his refusal on the ECO's computer with the refusal stamp missing on his passport!

What do you think would happen next? And again, he has even altered his real age. . . . . .

yes, i know almondjoy (now Tchinasa) in a refugee hostel, that doesnt mean that i reside in the same hostel. i have never told you whether i am male or female nor have i said whether i am an asylum seeker or not, so how you made conclusions is simply beyond your reasoning. i have never esteemed myself in false exaltation, i dont live a fake life like some other people who are asylum seekers in different countries and yet they are the best in writing the countries in their profiles. ain't it amazing that there are numerous nairalanders abroad, and each and everyone either claims to be a student or a citizen of various western countries? but we know that there are more nigerians illegally abroad than those who are legal.
so why shoudnt i talk when i know someone who is fooling people by living a fake life in nairaland? why does anyone have to defend a fake person?
if anyone think that i am lying against her, then ask yourself how come i know so much about her: because, all my affirmations are true
imagine almondjoy has changed her name into TCHINASA intending to deceive people with it because her known names have been bursted: she used to be the  person behind MILITIA, then, ALMONDJOY and now TCHINASA. I wonder how many other names she has used: honestly, i am aware that she is not committing fraud with these because i know she just enjoys being fake

So?  Do your worst.  As you can see, I have not died from being "fake"! cheesy This ya story don old. . . please write a new story. What else is new. . .besides your love for almondjoy? cheesy  At least. . .my asylum hostel as you call it, is better than any hotel in Nigeria you have been prostituting in. . . with correct internet service and free porn. grin

You say you went to the same school as I did?  In the same asylum hostel? Or did we share the same male warder in Nigeria before I escaped from genital mutilation in Nigeria as an asylum seeker?

Please see if you can find the other names.  I think you left out 25 of them.

At least we know who the real asylum officer is now.

You jobless phocking cow! What is your next line please? Like I said we know all bout that. . . anything else?

@ PapaBrowne
A moderate 3weeks in seychelles in a 3 star accomodation , full board (breakfast , lunch , dinner ) will cost 2,520euros , other expenses like going on excursions , car hire , diving and snorkelling , will cost about 1000euros so in total about 3520 euros .

Seychelles is a very expensive island but every penny worth it , it is is beatifull , peacefull , and unique .

check this http://www.seychellestravel.com/

It is visa free if you coming as a tourist to seychelles , they will issue the visa according to how many days your hotel booking stated.

He will be coming to Nigeria next year so he will able to rectify his pali wahala .

Sorry to bring back the Thread , Just to let you guys know that strange things happens . My brother went ahead and apply for the Uk visa despite that he erased the previous refusal stamp on his passport but he filled in the application form that he has been refused before in Nigeria, to our greatest surprise he was issued 6month visiting visa and they did not even asked him what happened to the refusal stamp.
