I honestly believe there are more ways we are all alike than different. So I decided to write this post to inspire us to unite and focus on what we have in common. It really breaks my heart when I see division among people because they focus on what is different. I hope that this list of ways we are all alike will inspire you to love humanity a little more than before.

FOOD

Food is definitely one of the ways we are all alike. It doesn't matter which culture you come from, food is an important part of life. We all have our favorite food and food that we don't like. Food is a way that we get to socialize with friends and family as well. Also, it's not uncommon for people with food issues to also have issues with feeling loved, often by parents. This is because food is a primary way we receive nourishment as children and if we don't get that from our parents, it can cause problems later in life.

FAMILY

We all have a family and no family is perfect. Although our family structure may vary from one another, we all have someone who raised us and taught us what we needed in order to mature in life. Families really have a huge impact in shaping us as individuals, but they don't have to define us forever.

FRIENDS

Some of us may make friends wherever we go in the world while the rest of us have one or two good friends we can count on. It really doesn't matter how many friends we have, it's the quality of our friendships in the end that counts. Even if you are in a season in your life where you don't have many friends, I'm sure you can think back to at least one friend you have had over your lifetime.

DREAMS

What did you want to be when you grew up? This is something that all children are asked at some point and it was a dream. Hopefully you still have dreams in your heart that you are actively pursuing. It's important to always have dreams, it keeps us young at heart. What are your current dreams?

LOVE

Oh love, I could write about you forever! We all know a little something about love, don't we? Whether it's romantic love or the love that is shared between friends and family, love is a bonding force and often a driving force that we all can relate to. If we are honest, we all want to be loved and hopefully we all want to learn how to love others. I think the greatest revelation that I've received in how to love is to not judge others. Mother Teresa once said, "If you judge people, you have no time to love them."

HUMOR

If you don't have a sense of humor, it's worth getting because life is a tragedy or a comedy, lady! We all enjoy finding humor because laughing is medicine to our souls. Who are some of your favorite comedians? Do you have a favorite joke?

TALENT

Yes, it's true, we are all talented people. Each and every one of us has a unique talent or gift that was given to us. Do you know what your talent is? It can be something obvious like singing or drawing. Or maybe it's the gift of encouragement or leadership? It's important to realize that we are all unique and have something to contribute to the world while we are alive.

PAIN

All of us have experienced pain in our lives at some point. This covers physical pain as well as emotional pain. We are human and that means we have emotions. No matter how much you try to suppress your emotions (and hopefully you don't), they will always be a part of you. No matter what our ethnicity or gender may be, we all experience pain and we shouldn't belittle the pain of another person just because we can't relate.

WEAKNESS

My personal weakness has always been sugar. There, I shared mine with you first. We all have some aspect of our makeup that is weak. No one is 100% strong at all times. And if I'm getting really specific with this, the sugar is really about having an addictive personality. Do you know your weaknesses? It's good to know because it is possible to turn your weakness into a strength.

STRENGTHS

Speaking of strengths, we all have those as well. Do you know what your strengths are? Usually it's easier to list off your strengths than weaknesses. If you aren't sure what your strengths are, ask your close friends or parents. Also, people will usually tell you what your strengths are through random comments, like "Wow, you are so encouraging."

FEAR

We all have something we are afraid of, or have been afraid of at some point in our lives. When I was a child I was absolutely terrified of clowns and I'm pretty sure it was because of the movie "It." Fortunately, I'm no longer afraid of clowns. My most recent fear was accidentally falling down a flight of stairs. Guess what? That happened last fall. So I guess I have faced my fears now.

BELIEF

All of us have a set of personal beliefs that shape who we are as individuals. Maybe you are vegetarian because of your love for animals? Maybe you believe in God, or you don't believe in God at all. While we may have different belief systems, we all have ideas that we believe to be true or right.

MUSIC

Have you ever heard a song on the radio that immediately takes you back to a previous time in your life? Whenever I hear Fiona Apple's first album, I am transported to my room upstairs in my parents' house. We all have music that has become the soundtrack to our lives. No matter where you come from, you will find music from your region worth sharing with the world.

COMMUNICATION

I think this is worth being on the list of ways we are all alike because it's the most important factor in a healthy relationship. Although we may communicate differently, we all need to communicate and express ourselves.

WORK

If you don't have to work to pay your bills, count yourself as blessed. Most of us have to work at some point in our lives in order to survive. Work can be what we do from 9-5 or it can be what we have decided to commit our lives to. It's important to love what you do, otherwise you may find yourself being super stressed and unfulfilled.

RESPECT

I appreciate when someone respects me, don't you? Someone once told me that respect has to be earned. I think this is true if we are considering people as role models or leaders. But I also believe that there should be a certain degree of respect for all of humanity. It seems pretty basic, doesn't it?

APPRECIATION

One of the worst feelings is feeling like no one notices you or your efforts. We all enjoy being appreciated and it hurts to go unnoticed. Be sure to let the people in your life know that you appreciate them if you do. You never know how expressing your gratitude to someone could brighten their entire day.

BEAUTY

If we aren't chasing beauty by reading the latest articles on it, we are taking photos of a sunset. We all enjoy beauty, don't we, ladies? Fortunately there is beauty all around us.

SECURITY

Security can come in many forms like shelter, stable relationships and unconditional love. The need for security is another way we are all alike. I think the greatest security is knowing who you are. It sucks to be insecure.

LEARNING

You aren't the same person you were last year. Something is different about you and it's because you learned something that you didn't know before. We spend our whole lives learning, whether we want to or not. Try to use wisdom so you don't have to learn the hard way if you don't have to.

SLEEP

This is probably an obvious point but we all need our beauty sleep! Ideally, we should get 7.5 hours to function properly as adults. Are you a night owl? Do you sleep on your back? How about naps? The way we sleep may vary, but none of us can go long without it.

See, we really do have a lot in common. I'm sure you can think of other ways we are all alike. I'd love to hear what you think of!

We are all born into this world we are.
No one can claim that he or she is dropped from heaven, we are all product of sperm from man and egg from woman, fertilised by sperm, whether we are born by CS or natural birth, the fact remains that we are all identical in the way we get to this world.

Another one is that, we all start our journey of life from infancy, no one can claim to be born adult. We were all kids before we became adult, hence, we are all alike in that aspect.

Another thing that is also common to all of us is that, we all possess brain, there is no one born without brain, but the channels we direct the use of our brains may differ. That is story for another day.

Another thing that is common to us is interest. We all have interest for one thing or the other, there is no one without interest, while some may have interest for watching football, some, it is watching movies, to some, it is surfing the net, while to some, it is reading books. While all of us may not have interest for the same thing or hobby or doings, it is certain that we all have interest for one thing or the other.

TIME

We all have 60 seconds/minute
60 minutes/hour
24 hours/day
7 days/week
24 months /year
365 days /year and 366 days/each leap year.
The way we utilise our time may differ, but no one has more. It's equally and commonly given to us all by nature.
