Gate crashing is allowed, you may get the job by gate crashing. Who knows ?

Let's assume you can teach geography, when you get to venue of the interview, you would be asked of the subject you applied for(that is if they don't have the list of applicants ), tell them the subject you know u can teach...
Questions relating to such Subject would be set as interview questions..

As regards to salary structure, bro I don't know it becoz I stay far from ikorodu.

Thanks bro., thanks a lot.

@ravensckar,

I quite agree with what you said.

In my first place of teaching after NYSC, I stumbled on a teacher's application letter. Mehn, he mentioned about 6 subjects he could teach.
He suffered like...... hum. If any teacher leaves, he would be ask to teach the subject pending on the time they get a new teacher.

For the salary, one must start somewhere. I know #20k is small but those in mainland have no choice Even if one gets a job that pays well but far from his house , how will he cope?

A person that lives in Shibiri and gets a job @ Lekki without accommodation will not be able to cope.

Do you know how many teachers left Pinefield schools Lekki because she told them no more accommodation.?

A friend of my friend got a job at Satellite and was paid #35k. In a month, she spends like #10k for t.fare. I learnt she is not resuming with them because of the wahala. Volks and barracks hold up both morning and evening

Sir, just as my friend (Visiting Prof) used to say 'A spade should never be called a spatulous object for abrading the surface of the earth, it should simply be called what it is; a spade'. That you claimed to be a teacher of a particular subject and you can't teach a certain topic in that subject (even if it's the peripheral of it) is the height of 'falling hand'. I hope you know what that means in the 'local context?' wink

Although, no one is an island of knowledge. But truth is you should have attempted that topic even if it means you'll blab or even gaffe. At least, you attempted it. But saying you weren't prepared to teach something that is different from what you 'packaged' from home is disparaging to say the least. angry

But guess what, it's a good thing it happened this way. Else, you wouldn't have known there are ways employers catch applicants unawares. Seriously, it has happened to me before. But mine was during my NYSC days. Come see falling hand! The inspector said I'm better off as a make-up artist than as a teacher. cry

Funny enough, I learnt the lesson afterwards. And guess what I am today? A make-up artist! cheesy
Lol I like ds lady

The school sent me a message to prepare for any topic, and pls I didn't argue with them was jst telling them that the message I got was to prepare for a topic so I didn't prepare for nigeria politics and didn't want to do half bake teaching. But have learnt my lesson. Thanks all desame

Rezzy, on point once again!

1. On d number of subjects:
because of desperation 2 get a job, don't bite more dn u can chew o, biko. One-day-one-day, it will boomerang!

2. TRANSPORT:
Imagine, ur friend was spending 10k out of 35k on transport alone. 4 her mind she be like "dhooor, I'm earning 35k y'all" but, Invariably, her "take home" was ONLY 25k! Why she no kukuma find 20-25k school 4 her backyard na, and save herself d Lagos traffic headache?

IMOO, 40k in a school at ur "backyard" is better than 70k in a localty where u've to spend close to 20k on transport. Lagos traffic wahala nko? Mtchwwww! Abeg, gbagbe' oshi!!!
But if dem giff u accommodation,....... "na God win".

3. My ppl talk say "big cloth no be big person".
