Are There Any Executed "Constituency Projects" In Your Area? by Nobody: 7:37pm On Sep 24, 2013 |
I ask this question in the light of claims by our "honourable" legislators at the federal level that the humongous amounts allocated to them in the country's annual budgets go into providing "constituency projects" for the people they claim to represent. So I want to ask the house if any of us has ever seen or benefited from any of these so-called projects, because I haven't. |

Bros I visited INI LGA of Akwa Ibom State which boast of Rep member, state assembly and LG Chair, there is no light since 2009 including the hqtrs, Odoro Ikpe and their respective hometowns. Access road is a taboo while pipe-borne water is a poison. I pity the people. |

And yet such a constituency has a "honourable member" in the House of Representatives, collecting "constituency project allocations". When will this madness stop? 1 Like |

What the assembly members now do is to target Federal Projects in their constituencies, then tell their constituents that they influenced the citing of such there and after the commissioning (if ever its done) put a signpost there claiming it as their const.pjt. |

It isn't the responsibility of law makers to execute capital projects. Secondly, it is the executive arm of government that executes constituency projects on behalf of the lawmakers. If we are unable to sight any constituency project, it is because the lawmakers in cahoot with the executive divert funds allocated for those projects into private purse. 2 Likes |

While the thread is talking particularly about NASS member and their projects, this man (Wizee) is talking about Local government Chairman. These are the issues. This issue is specific and not general about the government. If this man, Wizee is given a specific assignment to carry out, he is sure to do just the opposite of the assignment! The thread is just a paragraph (9 lines) yet he is talking of a different issue. You can now understand why I always attack mojority of nigerians for blaiming government, where as majority of us are as out of normalcy; track and deviant as the government. 1 Like |

Nigerians when are we going to act and stop complaining? When are we going to police our collective wealth? When are we going to put an end to slavery and poverty. The answer lies in one simple support for change. Please l have an idea on how we can rescue this country from those politicians and am willing to spree out a solution only if l see a lot of commitment and support. Time is the only investment that l need from intending members. Lets use the power of the social media to lend our voice and an online platform. Am sure it will work out. If you are in support for change lets indicate below. Concerned Nigerian Sammie 2 Likes |

We are always looking at the president and governors all the time, in democracy every elected person has some form of daccount to render to the people, LG chairmen,Councellors, state house of assembly, house of reps, senators these set of people just the bury the cash and most annoying is when I see grown up, adults run after them calling hon! Hon!hon!hon! Just to get peanuts. What a shame. 1 Like |

Equating one man's misunderstanding of the topic under discussion to the continued misappropriation of our resources under the guise of 'constituency projects' is just plan imbecility.
