Just before the world cup qualifier match between Nigeria and Kenya in March this year, there was an E-war between Kenyans and Nigerians as a result of the Kenyan's percieved maltreatment of their players in Nigeria.
Jibes were thrown from both sides on social media like Twitter, Facebook and even here on Nairaland. The Jibes from the Kenyans centered mainly on our popular Nollywood, lack of constant electricity and boko haram. On the issue of electricity, it was reported that a backup generator was running at west gate before and during the attack, which shows that they (Kenya) aslo suffer from power cuts. As for Nollywood, no need to even go there our movie industry is miles ahead of theirs.

Many of them boasted of how boko haram wouldn't be able to operate in their country, how they defeated Alshaabab etc, what happened after then? This should be a warning to people from other nationalities (Ghana comes to mind) who deem it fit to taunt us because of boko haram. no country is immune to terrorism

The post is hilarious.

Someone posted that this isn't the right time to come up with this thread? Can you please tell me when the right time would be?

If they could not be sensitive enough to know that people lost their lives from Boko haram attacks and deserve sympathy, I believe they also need to be taunted with alshaab jibes.

But as giant of africa, we won't go down to their level. We have more than enough things to mock them with. So we sympathize with them on this issue.

Well, and the lesson to be learnt is: Don't kick others when they are down or laugh at other people's problems because no one knows tomorrow. When Kenyans were typing all that crap on twitter, little did they know that in a couple of months down the line, the same Al-shabab or whatever they are called whom Kenyans claimed to have defeated will turn one of their Saturdays in September into a bloody Saturday. At the end of the day, as Africans, we should mind what we say to each other and stop laughing at the downfall or inadequacies of our fellow African brothers and sisters in other African countries. Shalom!

Don't mind the politically correct fools. This is a thread that is meant to teach others who poke fun at us using boko haram a lesson. Some things are not to be joked with.

Simple! Even the electricity shortage most of them use to taunt us here is also a problem in their countries. West gate was running on a generator when the ish happened. I wonder why some people refuse to remove the log from their eyes before pointing out the log in their brothers' eyes.
