Some articles i get to read that deals with vegetarians are mostly whites. This is Nigeria where we have a huge gap between the upper class(the rich) and the lower class(the poor). . The poor are very much concerned with eating to survive than selecting non-animal food.
Also, most muslims can't afford to be vegetarians cuz of thier sallah ram.
Christians too cuz of their christmas chicken
atheists?....
So, have you met any nigerian who is a vegetarian?

I've always felt guilty eating animal meat. I sometimes pity these creatures. The way they are chopped and seasoned. Anyway, i've always thought about being a vegetarian but i know its not gonna be easy since it's inevitable to avoid food cooked with meat..

I was once interested in knowing this.

But not just to know how many of them exist but to ask of what they eat.

most Nigerian foods are prepared with meat so who has the time to be resisting temptation of not eating meat? anyways because of the heat here, people that become vegetarians will look like Ethiopians because they will become so lean.

most nigerians love meat and dont consider it a proper meal without at least some meat. I live to hear of any self confessed vegetarians though, that will be cool

I never bought nor ate a vegetarian pizza until last week. why buy one anyway since d reason to eat it is for all the meaty and fruity and sometimes crunchy stuff.

But last week I decided to buy one. It was literally bitter. But they cut the 'vegetables' in a way that they appear like meat. The olive was too much.

Then I just wondered what a life it is with a vegetarian. and the need to even make those things look like meat is more amazing. it is like a gay man dressed like a woman-deceiving himself.

So I wanted to know what they eat here and if they try yo make themselves feel like they are eating meat. More importantly, I am genuinely concerned about what protein substitutes they eat and give advice based on my knowledge of Nutrition.

I was a vegetarian for some months, then I discovered that there are no fresh veggies, no fresh fruit and all other stuffs, it's almost impossible to be a vegetarian in this part of the world.

Jeel: The Seventh Day Adventist Church members are vegetarians

Not all. Yes they advocate it. They preach that a plant-based diet is healthier than an animal-based diet, but it's not forced on anybody.
