Hi peeps,it sounds funny.but I wish to know why u put off your light when u wish to sleep or whenever u are on bed depending on your purpose.

I dnt use light at all, @ bedtime, bathing, eating, even cooking i dnt use light. As 4 bedtime, d reflection of light wud distract me 4rm sleeping.

I think it's our primitive instinct to sleep @ night (when it's dark). It's not entirely comfortable to sleep with bright lights on even when we have our eyes closed, our eyelids still detect light.
Plus darkness causes your pineal gland to release melatonin, which is a hormone that makes you sleepy.

Well, I always leave my lamp on so ojuju calabar/ayamantaga and all the scary witches would not come for me @ night.

On a serious note though,I will go with Wu zetain's reason.
I for one like my lights off most times(even when very much conscious) cuz I process my thoughts better in darkness.weird,huh?

That's what my mummy and daddy told me to be doing. They said the heat of the light will distract me from sleeping.
But there's always torchlight by my pillow just in case of ojuju. . . embarassed

I prefer minimal lighting always. My system is conditioned to be at its optimum in a warm dark room. Hence my window drapes are always dark and thick.

Moreso, Eve-l is best done in the dark
