US whistleblower Edward Snowden has been honored with an award by a group of retired US national security officers. Edward Snowden was seen in a video which was belived to have be been shot on Wednesday October 9 2013 in Moscow in an undisclosed location. Edward Snowden was granted asylum in August 2013 by the Russian government. Snowden in his statement criticized US surveillance methods as been dangerous to the democracy.

The picture and video are the first appearance of Edward Snowden since July 12 2013 when he was at Moscow airport pleading with the Russian government to grant him asylum which was was given to him on the 1st of August 2013.

The ceremony was also attended by a group of retired U.S national security officers. Former U.S government officials that attended the ceremony said Edward Snowden is doing well and has adjusted to life in Russia but they didn't disclose any further details of where Edward Snowden lives or where they met him.
