True.
The population has been a pain in the neck, coupled with the corruption in various strata of govt.
Any africa-related problem is very severe in Nigeria due to huge number of illiterate people especially in the north.

" Hunger Level Falls In Nigeria, Remains Alarming In Africa- IFPRI Report"
Is Nigeria not in Africa? how did they get d statistics? did govt know how I survive? are they interested in my welfare?
a country where the citizens provide for themselves basic necessities of life,we provide our water, security, power etc, upon all these, we are over taxed.
our govt has failed us, so no d govt shud not take credit for any improvement whatsoever as far as our welfare is concerned. Even d enabling n conducive environment is difficult for them to provide.
OUR GOVT HAS FAILED US!

The main agricultural produce are still very expensive, for example:

Bag of rice is #10,500
A tuber of yam equivalent to 100bread is #250
A Bag of gari is #5000
A Bag of beans is #15,000 and above.
One gallon of Kerosine is #800
The last time I refilled my gas was #3800
Palm price rose too
Groundnut oil also rose.

These are exhorbitant prices. They were less than these years back.

The reason for the drop in hunger will be these reasons:

The more energy put in hustling by Nigerians.
More people have stopped depending on monthly salaries for survival.
The availability of alternative to this foods like bread, noodles, etc. They are relatively cheap.
More people have volunteered to do fasting, lolz.

Nigeria is growing not from the side of the federal government but from the citizens itself. More people have stopped blaming the government for their situation and have done well for themselves. Nigeria is a good market for virtually anything you want to trade but the government help us, its just total false.

Government is broke and we are still buying cars and building houses.

Third world indeed.

Some ppl wld have hallucinatory experience because of their hate for GEJ. Wheneva a positive news abt naija comes out, they are quick to point out that its d hussling, industrious, neva-say-die, dexterity spirits of Nigerians thats taking us there & nt the government. To this grp of people i shake my head in despair at how ignorance driven by hatred cn debase their reasoning. In Econs we learnt that there are 3types of economies: socialist, capitalist & mixed. We run a mixd economy which largely tends towards capitalism à la privatisatn drive of d government. Xo if u xpect govt to put bread & water on ur table then u are on a very long thng. USA has a little close to a million federal workers in a population of ~320million. Who do u think drives their economy, government?
