A federal polytechnic in Lagos(name witheld) just concluded their elections with 2 major students vieing for the SUG presidency, one from Engineering, the other SMBS. It was not news that the election was rigged with each students in SMBS voting about five times which was glaring. Well, the dude eventually won with just 32votes which was a clear evidence of the fame and work that the Engineering student had invested. My point is this is where it all starts from, where we leap from. As students we are the future that would take over from these leaders who would do everything not to relinquish power but even as student we have a soiled mindset. We have been unconciously made to think that it is not possible to do anything without "Short cuts". My people i am askin, Which way 9ja? Do we intend raising future leaders this way? Taking a peek into the not so distant future what do you see? |
