Reps May Order For The Arrest Of Oduah by Adisa419: 2:27am On Oct 27, 2013
The House of Representatives is threatening to issue a bench warrant for the arrest of embattled Minister of Aviation, Princess Stella Oduah, if, by Tuesday, she fails to appear before its Committee on Aviation.

Oduah had been summoned to answer questions on aviation related issues on the heels of the Associated Airlines plane crash last month.
The minister will obviously also respond to the lawmakers on the two controversial armoured BMW cars said to have been bought for her by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA).

Oduah was, as at last night, in Israel to sign a Bilateral Air Service Agreement (BASA), alongside President Goodluck Jonathan, with Israeli officials.

“If she fails to show up (for the House Committee hearing), we will issue a bench warrant to get her arrested”, the House of Representatives, spokesman, Hon. Zakari Lafia Mohammed, said.

Mohammed, who spoke in an interview with Sunday Vanguard, went on: “This is a national issue that must be properly thrashed out with the zeal of a wounded lion. If need be, we will ask the Speaker to issue a bench warrant immediately she fails to show up and she will be arrested. We’ve given her enough grace as the committee will sit on Friday, Monday and Tuesday. All those excuses given on her behalf will not hold by the time we conclude our findings.”

Should we all become thieves because of one thief? Or we should allow all thieves because of another thief?
Farouk has been draged to court the rest is in the hands of the court and the prosicutors, so stella oduah too should face justice.

The moral burden on the house is too heavy for
them to attempt such. Faroukgate, Hembegate,
Elumelugate, Ettehgate, and all the other "gates" easily come to mind.

Besides, do they really have such powers

What has boko haram got to do with this

But kai, Farouk, our soft spoken amiable Farouk, messed himself up big time!!! I remember the enormous respect he commanded amongst Nigerian from all devides. How we would have loved for him to still be the big player he once was, but greed got best of him and now his lips have been sealed forever. Now he can't speak on any national issue any longer! Such a pitty.

Why are these clowns in a hurry talking about arrest? Let them wait till Tuesday now?

I just wonder if the house of reps still have the decorum to investigate someone on corruption, looking at the fact that FAROUK LAWAN is still sitting among them.

If Farouk was the head of Integrity group, then all members of that group should have humbly resigned.

They can't do anything to Oduah. Yes they may say the prices of the cars were inflated, but everything was done within the law and they can't prove that she was the one that directly inflated the prices. So what's the case?

This must be a joke.

They should order the arrest of Otedola and Farouk first . After prosecuting them, then we can start to discuss about the propaganda being sponsored by Yorubas and their APC supporters in the aviation ministry .

I suggest you all be arrested alongside Stella, locked up and give us a chance to build a new Nigeria.

When did National Assembly become prosecutor or judge to order arrest?

They are just making noise to increase the number of Ghana must go to settle them.

Being a lawmaker doesn't empower you to enforce the law.

How many of their exposed corrupt colleagues (Hatcrook Lawal, Etteh, etc) have they arrested?

They should start by arresting themselves for their monumental fraud/pay package and sundry embezzlement.

Bunch of clowns.

If they have evidence that can stand against her in court, what is EFCC and ICPC still doing?

Are they not supposed to be detaining and questioning her?

If no evidence they should let her be.
