Did President Jonathan Promised One Term Or Not? Watch This Video To Confirm. by AllRoundGist: 4:45am On Oct 29, 2013 |
People have been arguing and denying that president Goodluck Jonathan promised only one term in office. While campaigning for President Jonathan, Former president Olusegun Obasanjo said "Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has already taken a unique and unprecedented step of declaring that he will only want to be a one term president." Once Nigerians achieve their political goals, they forget all the promises they made while campaigning. Just like they say, never trust what a man says when he is in cloud-7 because once he lands back to earth, he will be like "wtf...i don't remember saying that..." lol Watch the below video and find out for yourselves. http://www.allaroundgist.com/2013/10/did-president-jonathan-promised-one.html https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xgSyI0xJ5Ak |

The only people who will be shocked by this video are ,those still expecting miracles from a president who presided over 1 the grant theft 10 billion dollars via oil subsidy, within a year of getting elected (a sum capable of providing at least 15000MW of electricity. 2 the pillage of the 22 billion dollars excess crude account . And whose first bill was tenure elongation. 2 Likes |

I don't want to be a GEJ apologist; but why all this noise about GEJ's candidacy. This issue has been on since 2011. this raises the question of Why do you want him out? why pressure him on issues of 2015 at a time as early as 2011? I still believe that his running shouldn't be a problem. If nigerians are not pleased with him, they will vote him out. Or is it a matter of any body but GEJ? that shouldn't be. Besides that video is crap. |

Even BBC carried the same news in 2011 Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan to seek one term President Goodluck Jonathan (file photo) Goodluck Jonathan is the first president from Nigeria's oil-producing Delta region Continue reading the main story Nigeria - Troubled Giant Fuel scam: Decision time Booming illegal oil refineries Guide to Nigeria's trouble spots Who are Boko Haram? Nigeria's President Goodluck Jonathan has said he will not seek a second term in office if he wins elections scheduled for April. As the governing party candidate, he is the favourite even though some party officials have said he should not run. He is a southerner and the People's Democratic Party (PDP) has a tradition of alternating power between north and south of the country. Under this unwritten rule, the PDP candidate should be from the north. But in January's party primary, Mr Jonathan overwhelmingly defeated a northerner, ex-Vice-President Atiku Abubakar. Last year, the party's powerful governors suggested that Mr Jonathan only seek one term as a compromise. The PDP candidate has won every poll since the end of military rule in 1999. However, most of its victories have been marred by widespread fraud and violence. Mr Jonathan became leader after the death of elected President Umaru Yar'Adua in May 2010. He is the first president from Nigeria's southern, oil-producing Niger Delta region. Mr Jonathan has promised to introduce electoral reforms, but correspondents say it will be difficult to implement radical changes before April. The main opposition candidates are former anti-corruption campaigner Nuhu Ribadu and Gen Muhammadu Buhari. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-12339017 |

The video is nice, but if YAKUBU GOWON could have gone back on his word at ABURI GHANA, if BUHARI cud have gone back on his word after saying he wud never contest again, if AWO cud have gone back on his word after saying if the EAST secceeds the WEST wud secceed too yet never honoured it, then WHO is GEJ. Y shud his case be different? |
