Should Nigerians (Especially those abroad) Be Proud of Nigeria? by Raikishi(m): 3:31am On Oct 30, 2013
Over the past years we have heard all manner of promises from the Looters Leaders of this unGreat Nation of ours we call Nigeria.
These promises include but are not limited to:
1. Security
2. The never going out of fashion ELECTRICITY
3. Good Roads
4. Potable water
5. Healthcare
6. Job Creation
7. Corruption
8. Education
etc.

AT Home you often see Nigerians wearing PROUD TO BE NIGERIAN shirts, and abroad we are popular for spending money and shutting down clubs. Walk around like Nigeria is made of GOLD.

SO, AS A NIGERIAN WHAT ARE YOU PROUD OF?

SECURITY: After Boko haram, The Nigerian Police force is perchance the worst thing that could have happened to Nigeria after civil war (my opinion! don't shoot yet).
While in another country (Note: there are no burglary proof on any of the houses here) I had the unfortunate incident of breaking a speed limit by a few kilometres and immediately got pulled over by a police car, all I got was a warning as a "First Time Offender". The police men were so friendly in the way they adviced me about speed I don't think I will ever speed again. Long Story Short... Armed robbers will knock on your house in nigeria if you try to use an "All glass" door or window and ask you to respectfully open the door as to save yourself the cost of replacing a glass door. The police when called MIGHT come 3 hours after (the robbers have returned the guns and or have changed back to their uniforms).

If there is security in Nigeria, would a teenage boy be able to sneak unto a plane and fly (luckily) with no money or bombs to Lagos?
Boko Haram? (Let's not go there for time's sake)
Forensics? You can kill someone's "cat" urinate on it, cut your hair and draw "CATCH ME IF YOU CAN" with the strands and leave the gun but you still won't get caught in Nigeria.

ELECTRICITY: There is no need to travel so far to see what Electricity does and means (Botswana is a good enough). Small countries are going and making paths where THE GIANT OF AFRICA Nigeria can not go

GOOD ROADS: Pretend to forget Wood Bridges and Millionaires. Lagos to Abuja:-> Too Many Potholes You can't dodge! You just have to choose the best pothole to enter.

POTABLE WATER: Can you count the number of boreholes in your community/estate/city?

HEALTHCARE: Google Nigeria's Mortality Rate, IN 2013 cum 2014 nigerian Women are still dying at/from (for english nuts) CHILD BIRTH cry

CORRUPTION: -- Intentionally Left Blank

JOB CREATION: The President's Wife Resources exist to employ 5332 Graduates and pay them for 10 years (Grade Level 8 Step 3) but...

EDUCATION: The Ongoing ASUU Strike is indeed a reflection of Nigerians' Demeanour and Disposition. Some Nigerians are saying ASUU is Mad and Greedy and Blah blah and more blah blah but lets take a step back and read through this post again, IF our leaders have a knack for promising and failing should we as Nigerians be like them?
Who has not heard "A PROMISE IS A PROMISE" before? If you say you will do something then do it. Yes The/Some demands are/maybe ludicrous but do EXACTLY what you said you would do or start doing it and employ Renegotiation.

Why do you think Nigeria is the Giant of Importation?
We are a product of our educational system, How many Professors in ASUU Merit their Title, Maybe not because they are lazy or dumb (IF YOU CAN NOT FUND RESEARCH HOW DO YOU WANT TO DEVELOP AS A NATION? the amount of PhD's in the Danish, Spanish, English and American Military Alone and the research they carry out into fields of Agriculture, Computing, Engineering.... Tsk Tsk: Nigeria I Hail Thee).
