the All Progressives
Congress (APC) should perish the thought of ever
governing Nigeria, saying; “God will never put Nigeria in the hands of
gangsters.” Adeyeye, who was reacting to the APC’s statement
that only sycophants are
putting President Goodluck Jonathan under pressure
to contest the 2015
presidential election, said; “President Jonathan has
the Constitutional right to seek a second term and no amount of noise-
making from the APC and
its allies can deny him that right.” In a statement issued in Ado-Ekiti today, Adeyeye
said; “Nigerians are not
robots as the APC people think. “Nigerians can compare governance under
President Jonathan with what is
obtainable under the APC governments in States like
Ekiti, Osun, Oyo, Ogun
and Lagos. “What better governance can the APC offer
Nigerians? Is it the one in
which a single individual sits in his bedroom in Lagos
and determine who
should eat pounded yam and egunsi soup and who
should not in Suleja, Kafanchan, Ikot-Ekpene, Asaba, Onitsha or Sokoto? “Is it the kind of governance in which elections are
held and results of
the elections are not released two years after as in
the case of the Lagos
State Local Government election held in 2011? Or the
one in which an individual will come to the polling unit during an
election and announce
that he is the lord of Nigeria and must be allowed to
vote without his
voters card? “Is it the kind of governance in which those who are
opposed to the
government are murdered in broad daylight as being
witnessed in Ekiti
State?

This Adeyeye is just doing notice me in PDP. Cursory observers would have noticed that he is always taking up unsolicited fights and one knows that the best way to get to the heart of GEJ and PDP apparachiks is to abuse Tinubu or Buhari. By so doing,one is sure to be compensated!

In my candid opinion, I think Mr Adeyeye is very wrong by saying this. We're humans with limited vision and calculation, so he shouldn't be absolutely sure of his checkered assumptions. In life, it's not always safe to say absolutes like this one.
Although, I'd agree that with the current setting of the APC it doesn't seem like they have the sophistication to march the PDP at the centre in 2015 election. BUT TO SAY THEY'LL NEVER IS DEAD WRONG. If things continue to move thus, it'll be a walkover for the PDP. However, even between now and 2015 a lot can still change.

If an Igbo man/woman would have said PDP will not be allowed to rule Nigeria again, some of the people here would start saying the Igbo man/woman is Yoruba, but now that a Yoruba man said APC can never rule Nigeria , how come I've not heard he's not Yoruba he's Igbo from the usual persons??

APC, though people by strange bedfellow might get it right in future when the likes of Tinubu, his stooge - Fashole, the bigoted and incoherent Buhari amongst others, exits the party and allow true progressives to run it. Til then, Tinubu and co are allowed to continue to gathers the votes and sell to the highest bidder - PDP.
