Femi Aribisala needs no introduction as far as his controversial writings on many issues especially Christianity is concerned. He has written about apostle Paul's writings as not being truly representative of the ministry of Jesus Christ and now, he's latest writing on Christianity is that 'David did not kill Goliath'. Wetin concern me with who kill Goliath? Fact is, Goliath was killed. Abi? But you need to read his very interesting take on the matter...

Unedited Piece on David/Goliath by Femi Aribisala

One of the myths of Christianity is the infallibility of the bible.
Quoting Paul, some Christians insist every word in the bible is “God-breathed.” (2 Timothy 3:16).

When you identify contradictions in the bible, they either refuse to acknowledge them or try to rationalise them away with highfalutin apologetics.
However, these apologetics have not made the contradictions disappear. All they do is establish that these bible-fanatics are not committed to the truth.

Christians generally believe little David killed mighty Goliath, according to the “infallible” account of 1 Samuel 17:50-51. This feat is drummed into us from childhood.
However, the same “infallible” bible also credits the killing of Goliath to Elhanan, one of David’s mighty men....

The Bible/Quran is the only book that seems to record history in myopia.. the accounts of the killing of 1st borns inthe search for Christ is only recorded in the Bible even when surrounding civilizations recorded the activities of the isrealites, even the killing of Egyptans 1st borns is not even in Egyptian History, the Parting of the Red Sea as well the census of qirinus which prompted Joseph to go to his home town Nazareth.. Every Census in the history of Judea and the colonized Roman Territories were recorded.. however the one account in the Bible where God will have us believe a census was conducted, is never recorded.. this is a common trend in the propagation of an infallible LIE... no body cares to read history to validate the Bible.. The Bible validates itself, irregardless of the contradictions... all is a MYSTERY of an unfathomable God.. yea right grin

Well said buddy!
AFAIK, nobody begs the question better than religious folks. For example, the bible is the word of god because it is written in the bible that it is the word of god...#BeatsMe

lt's beneath the majesty of God to contradict Himself. Established inconsistency in the bible- the two statements cannot be both from God. Handiwork of the human authors or shall one say co-authors of the "word of god".

Nonetheless it does not remove from the FACT that the Bible is the only institution that validates itself against itself.. the Children of God are blissfully ignorant of this hence the confusion in the House of God where Blasphemy, Adultery, Greed, Death and Vengeance is condoned and accepted as the Will of the Almighty Pastor and God.
