The governorship candidate of the All
Progressive Congress, APC, senator Chris
Ngige yesterday said he would tackle head
long the vexed issue of security in the state
within the first 100 days in office if voted as
the next governor of the state come November
16.
Speaking with Vanguard, Ngige regretted that
in the past eight years of the present
administration there had been unprecedented
cases of various crimes ranging from
kidnapping, armed robbery among others in
the state that were not witnessed during his
tenure as governor of the state.
Citing section 2(14) of the 1999 Constitution
Ngige said the government of Mr Peter Obi
had failed in the cardinal and fundamental
duty of governance.
He said the first step which he described as
preventive would be to make the educational
curriculum have vocational training
orientation so that after secondary education,
school leavers could create jobs for
themselves.
Besides,he said he would boost graduate
employment by creating agricultural
settlement that would employ thousands of
young graduates and further improve the
power situation through procuring independent
power plants, IPP to generate power for the
State.
In the curative approach, Ngige pledged to
synchronise the security system to enable the
Vigilante Services and the Nigeria Police work
together seamlessly.
Ngige who is also a member of the Senate
Committee on Police Affairs threw his weight
behind the age long demand for state police
by some section of Nigerians.

In an interview with an Enugu-based radio station, he promised to build an airport in anambra state within the first 6 months of his administration.

the way he tackled it when he was in power huh? when he was not sleeping in the state and the state was been burnt down by criminals he created now he is telling us that he will reengage those criminals to checkmate crime. That dude suppose to be in jail for heavens sake !!! you cant give what you don't have, Ngige does not have the moral fibre to fight crime cos he was once their associate, he cannot build anything in 6months cos for two years he could not do anything as a senator other than attracting VIP toilet to FGGC nise.......kai !!! A promise made to a woman in the bed. That is how he brainwashed people and they voted him insteady of the vibrant Prof. Dora Akuyiri, Ngige is now a bench warmer in the upper chamber waiting for his gigantic salary.Building in Air port in six months, why didn't he build it in three years he spent in Awka as a Governor. Tackling security problem in 100 days but he was kidnapped and government house burnt while in office. He is now following Rochas campaign method who promised to build African tallest building in Imo state in 2011.

Ngige definitely does not know the priorities of Anambra.

If his intentions are to waste billions meant for development to duplicate what has already been achieved,then he is indeed a disastrous choice.
What Anambra needs is job creating industries for the youths, a mono rail to link Onitsha Main market to Nkpor, Awada and indeed eventually extended up to Awka. In that way, movement of goods and services around Onitsha and environs will be cheap and efficient.

The nearby Asaba airport has not even reached the viability level of use, and he wants to sink billion of naira meant for meaningful development in another useless airport project in Omambala area, which will be less than 5 minutes away from the Asaba airport? In America where there are more than 600 airports, no commercial major airport is allowed less than 100 miles away from another, except the John Kennedy Intl airport and the Laguardia Intl. which serves as alternative to relieve the massive traffic at JFK. They didn't make that rule just to be funny, it was designed to make sure public funds aren't sunk into useless airport projects everywhere.

Anyhow, Ngige knows he is just lying and saying anything to get elected first. Ngige isn't even an option anymore, not after supporting the humiliation and deportation of his fellow Igbos from Lagos. He imagines he is better than those deported because he has money. Sorry Ngige, deportations often start with the poor, hapless people,then it gets to rich people like you eventually. Ask the Jews deported by the Nazis how it started.
