Controversy: One of the reason i love Peter Obi. More action less noise
Compare 22,500 laptops plus 1400 printer with Osun state 3600 Opom Imo fraud
•22,500 laptops plus 1400 printer = 2.65billion
•3,600 Opom Imo ipad = 8.6billion
Aregbesola is a fraudster but his gullible supporters will never admit it
Do you expect it to be less N8.6b when the project was headed by Aregbesola son.

warrior01: I know Peter Obi remains one of the best governors in this country; his performance, though, without fanfares especially in the educational sector is worthy of emulation. No wonder, Anambra state students are coming out tops in national exams

ha ha ha... 22500 laptops with inbuilt national curriculum + 1400 printers = 2.6 billion naira While 3600 Opon Imo mini tablets with same curriculum = 8.6 billion.
Gosh!!!! Waiting to know whether Punch, Sahara reporters, and other useless South West media and their useless reporters will report on the fraud going on in the APC controlled 'state of osun'.
Best gov indeed.

Peter Obi doesn't borrow to get things done, the most fiscally responsible Governor in Nigeria. Quoting Ngozi Okonjo Iweala. Peter Obi's educational policies are second to none, no wonder Anambra tops the unity school entrance examination. Okwute please continue to deliver democracy dividends till the final day. Idi Amin: Are laptops critical need in Anambra school system? Why buy laptops when most schools' structures are dilapidated? Most roads in Onitsha and Awka are in shambles and Peter is busy distributing laptops to kids who go to schools everyday hungry, without school bags and sandals. The big question however is, why must Peter wake up to commission projects during election periods? What has he been doing for the past eight years? To me, all these are cheap politics undecided

u are obviously not from Anambra nor know anything about her. So u can rant on

We are talking about Anambra state here not Osun state
I dont know why you are so stupid to learn the truth, in fact with all these false rumor about other state can not take you and obi to any where. that is why your type will never support good thing in life because you are a thief like obi. Read This and learn the truth State Of Osun never spent 8bn she spent just 300m. [b[b]]read dis through;
With the Opon Imo (Tablet of Knowledge)
initiative to be distributed to students preparing
for internal and external examinations, the Osun
State Government is saving N8.2 billion that
could have been spent on purchase of books on
an annual basis.
The government said with 56 textbooks on 17
subjects, which have been converted into the soft
copies in the Opon Imo device, students have the
added advantage of carrying a single digital
device that makes learning easier.
Apparently referring to a publication in which the
state government was criticised for paying N200
million for the conversion of textbooks into the
Opon Imo device, Governor Rauf Aregbesola, while
speaking at a programme for the distribution of
some educational materials worth N30 million on
Wednesday, said his administration deserved
commendations from all for the idea of Opon Imo
in which about 150,000 digital devices are to be
distributed to students across the state.
Aregbesola said the huge funds, which his
administration continuously commits to the
education sector, is designed to instill in every
public school pupil a minimum level of value.
Aregbesola said: “Were we to purchase 56
textbooks for 17 subjects being offered at SSCE
for 150,000 students, over N8.4 billion will be
spent annually as against N200 million expended
on Opon Imo for the conversion of books.”
The governor said instead of being commended
for God’s endowed ingenuity and wisdom, which
gave birth to the Opon Imo initiative, some
people prefer demonstrating their ignorance by
grandstanding and claiming what they are not.
He described the score card of the last
administration in the education sector even after
90 months in office as a far cry from his
administration’s achievements in only 27 months.
Aregbesola then cautioned teachers against
sharp practices in the distribution and utilisation
of instructional materials and appealed to parents
and guardians to assist the government in
ensuring prudent usage of government funds paid
to schools.
The governor had called some students present
at the event who confirmed that the average cost
of a textbook for SSSE students is between
N1,000 and N1,500.
With this, the governor said: “We have been able,
through the support of the citizens of Osun, to
develop an innovative device, and we put in that
Opon Imo 56 text books for 17 subjects being
taught here.
“That was what we purchased for N200 million.
“Aregbesola and his team of endowed people
have saved Osun people N8.2 billionn with the
introduction of Opon Imo alone.

He stood infront of his Friend and

This is why I call these ACN touts a bunch of scammers and fraudsters that should be aptly called Smooth Operators or maybe even Smooth Criminals.
Aregberascal is giving the impression here that the SOFTWARE/CONTENT of the textbooks which costs N 200 million should be compared to the N8.4 billion UNVERIFIED cost of textbooks that he WOULD have supplied to the students.
Where is the cost of the HARDWARE/tablets itself for the same number of students to whom the N8.4 billion books would have been distributed

Tolexander: i would have gone into entering a pair of trousers of argument with you but your handle detered me!

But just to clear the controversy and bring you into the gathering of knowledge.

'opon imo is a tab given to the secondary pupils in osun state. It has all the textbooks needed by this pupils installed on it so as to save them from carrying the textbooks around and also the government on purchase textbooks annually to distribute freely to them.

'opon imo' has no internet connection to download games, porn, music, etc which may distract the attention of these pupils like the laptop Obi is giving out.
Is the Internet only for po.rn tnz? U don cast yourself.
.

Are u saying the benefactors in osun state cannot use their tabs to download po.rn?
Is installation of internet impossible in opon IMO tablets? opon Imo or not, can u swear Osun peepz don't download porn and watch with their fones or other devices?
Don't think childishly .
Just acknowledge peter obi did a better job
