I always believe that it is very easy to go online but the most difficult part of any online venture is staying online. Alot of nigerian online business today have close because they do not have the success tips to succeed online in Nigeria.

To succeed online in Nigeria, you have to understand how Nigerians think. It is no doubt that there is alot of opportunities in Nigeria but that doesnt mean providing a solution to a nigerian problem will make you succeed automatically. What actually makes you succeed is teaching your Nigerian customers how to use your service/product.

When thinking of venturing into any Nigerian online business. It is advisable to reserve enough energy for teaching your Nigerian customers how to use your online service. Before or after you buy your Car, you have to learn how to drive your car and thats why there is the driving school. You might have a great online service for Nigerians but the ability to teach them how to use the service counts towards your success. A lot of nigerian online business have failed today because they have always believed that "nigerians will figur out how to use their service on their own without any assistant and they have forgotten that the internet trend in Nigerian evolved only a poppy years ago".
Do not rely entirely on online marketing. In addition to online marketing, ensure you do some offline marketing. For most service business, your customers are those busy nigerians who do not have the time to flip through facebook page. Thats why you should take your marketing offline.

Be patient with your customers. Majority of american and european online business do not start generating revenue in the first few years of operation. So reserve enough finance to take you through that period and never give up on the way to success. Count your success by the number of visitors that visite your site rather than the amount of revenue you generate.

Most importantly, Majority of your nigerian targeted customers are mobile internet users.so when building a website for the Nigerian audience, ensure your site is mobile accessible. As a customers, i wouldnt want to visit your site and realised that the site could not load.I will just flip to the next site and that would be a bad for your business as you have lost me for good.
