Surely, even if you don't believe in God to the extent that you see nothing wrong in selling false hope on the basis of God's name, your conscience should at least trouble you a bit when you see the way your victims wail and scream in prayers in the vain hope that some good will touch their lives after parting with some money that could have been better spent on food, and wasting valuable time going through your programme that could have been used for more up building activities.

Prayer has a lot of effect on a christian's life. It is quite essential to knowing God and growing spiritually as breathing is to living. Prayer isn't a power with which we create things or speak them into existence. It is rather a way of communicating and hearing from God. It's real purpose isn't to change God but to change you the pray-er. God knows every single feeling of a person's heart. Nothing escapes His attention. He sees, hears and knows everything including our prayer. His Word ''THE BIBLE'' encourages us to speak to Him about any matter that concerns us. One reason why we don't pray better than we do, or anymore than we do is that we have questions about prayer. These questions cause us uncertainty then our uncertainty neutralizes us and we become hesitant about prayer. Hesitant about going before God. Since God knows everything, why then should we have to pray to Him? What's the point of praying when God knows the future and is already in control of everything? If we can't change God's mind, why then should we pray? Jesus thought it worthwhile to pray, we should also. After He left, the Apostles in the book of Acts also placed great importance on prayer. A lack of prayer demonstrates a lack of faith and trust in God. We pray to demonstrate our faith in Him that He'll do as He has promised in His Word and bless our lives abundantly more than we can hope for.
