Yesterday I posted videos which showed Gordon Brown calling a voter a "bigoted woman".

He issued a "sort of apology" on a radio show later that day.

He went to her house a few days later to personally apologise. The woman accepted his apology.

Now, if Governor Oshiomole apologises and the woman accepts his apology, then that's the end of the matter.

For him to have realised that he was wrong and apologised is commendable because that is not a trait of Nigerians, let alone, their politicians. But mere apology is not enough, if the person in question had suffered any economic loses as a result. In the event, deserves a financial compensation from whoever was responsible. And it should be her right and not a gesture.
