And the stereotypical aspect is that ones a thread concerning islam is brought up on front page - no matter on what topic it is - what our tolerant christians and atheists shout on is terrorism, not caring if it derails the thread or not.

But here's what you should rather be logical about. OPs don't just make it to the front page. They actually pass through the superior mods which may include non-muslims, so its out of the mods hands to post an OP on the front page, be wise.

First of all, the mods could have closed the thread before or after it made front page.
Secondly, it was submitted to the mods before it reached front page

You are now trying to lie that it was a Christian supermod that posted it to the to the fp without the knowledge of the mods

Quarantine? You don't tell someone where to visit or what to do on a public forum. Why would they visit your religion sections and argue endlessly with you when you have nothing new to offer. The truth is most muslims on this forum have come to understand we are in a multi religious setting and have learnt to let others live by what they believe and won't go on opening stupid and degrading threads about what is or what is not; which is a Sign of religious maturity.

no one is telling you where to go or where not to go. The very fact that you people isolate yourselves is already a sign if intolerance. You guys ran from the religion section to this place. You can't live with other religions? But other religions can live with each other.

Now the front page issue is very simple. The front page is for everyone. Not everyone is going to agree with Islam and so, your mods can't just delete dissenting comment unless they are insults. Your mods treat the front page as if it is for only Muslims.

worse, your section does not deserve the front page since it is the only section that is restrictive of posters by choice (for only Muslims). Why put stuff for only Muslims on fp for everyone....dies that make sense? Simple logic.

Zikdik: Is the section really has biased as it is painted to be? Are the mods really as tyrant as widely acclaimed?
These are important questions. I am neither a muslim nor religiously inclined. But I feel this section should be an avenue for all nairalanders to have an e-experience of the purity, tolerance and amicable disposition of Islam and muslims alike. Hence, this reputation might not be exactly conducive for the development of the section.
Matured views and opinions would be sincerely appreciated.

Okay. Let's assume VISITORS permeate a level of acidic truancy. Is being unnecessarily aggresive the solution to that? Everyone is entitled to voice their opinion. When they do, as long as it isn't directed an any individual or body as an insult, don't you think it is rather logical that you let them have their say? The fact that you don't agree with it does not mean every other person doesn't as well.
The key word here is "tolerance", and it's level is alarmingly low in this section.

No, its not necessarily a must everybody should have their say.

If your 'say' is trampling on other people's right to discuss issues pertaining to their religion in a non-rancorous manner and without being harangued by hecklers, then you stand to be corrected, within reason.
