We want to go back, not because of the minister's threat, but because we are concerned that enough is enough- one of the lecturers.

I am ASUU through and through but I'm not happy with the leadership ASUU is providing- one of the lecturers.

As intellectuals, we should be very analytical- a lecturer

LMAO I said it! I said it!

ASUU is alone. They've lost public sympathy.

Y'all are very very very funny! gringrin

...Y'all think the lecturers won't resume? HUH?
Just watch it!

Most lecturers are saying they are tired of the strike.
Some have been without cash for the past 5
months. Do you think they'll still stay at home? undecided

I bet, 90% of lecturers would resume. Nobody would
put the well-being of his/her family on the line. You
think being jobless is a small thing? Go and ask
people that are unemployed.

My uncle suffered before he got a job as a lecturer
in A.B.U. If he likes he shouldn't resume. He'll
go back to the streets gringrin

It is very clear now that ASSU is not fighting for the betterment of the education system, rather, they are political motivated, to further distarbilize the govrt of GEJ.
ASSU keeps moving from one demand to another, to the extent that they wanted to use the death of one their members as an excuses not to call off the strike.
The ASSU leaders should know that there days in office are numbered.
I dont see them continuing in office after they call off the strike.

Someone was talking about d strike thing as legal and
constitutional ..... But here is the iceberg, the minister
of education wants to keep his job by bringing up these
measure and this was wat his former boss couldn't do
hence she was sacked....... But look here it is also
constitutional that an employer can decide to hire and
fire whoever at any point in time..... For m the Fg
should have saved this ugly situation a long time ago
but since they didn't hence the exploitation of ASUU......
Do we think as Nigerian students that if released, will
this whole sum go directly into Education ? Will there
be the halt to the ugly trend of politicising Admission
within Nigerian universities? We behave as if we don't
know the country we re......... People re starving and
dying of hunger and so much more dying of curable
diseases and here is ASUU making frivolous and selfish
demands......... Which way Nigeria?

It's one thing for them to call off the strike, it's another thing to start academic work after calling off the strike. I just hope they will fear God and do the needful.

42 out of 61 ASUU excos voted for the suspension of the strike, they did not come back to tell us the outcome of their meeting instead they went to add another clause asking the Attorney General and others to sign. Why didn't they discuss the clause during the meeting... The situation is disgusting ... Adeyemi Daramola. (Senior Lecturer Faculty of Arts UniLag) ... Live on Channels TV
