OCCUPY ARIK (Part 2).
Today is 3rd of December, let's see how long it will take Sir Arumemi Johnson Ikhide - chairman of Arik Air Limited to pay his local staff. One wonders the rationale behind the whole concept of not paying your staff nothing earlier than the 15th of the next month. Amazingly, the local staff have accepted this trend as a norm- this injustice has been so established that its "unnatural" for an Arik "local" staff to get his salary alert even today 1st of another month. Meanwhile, it is totally unacceptable for the "expatriates" to be owed a single day after the month's pay day. It's painful that the government and other relevant agencies will allow this injustice to be the lot of its people. Arik Air is in business daily and the profits are rolling in of course with the sweats of its staff, but the management of Arik will take delight in not paying then their due. No medicals at all in a company as big as this,no benefits, and the most shocking of all is no remittance of staff pension whatsoever but the monthly deduction is constant. Ask any Arik staff about Tax clearance- he/ she has got nothing bus the deductions are also constant. If Arik Air will not give its staff all the benefits they deserve and if they won't increase their salary' at least pay them their salary on time- its supposed to be 28th of every month. Could the Government and relevant agencies please look into this matter immediately- what is good for the goose is good for the gander too. Please re-broadcast and make a little change, it starts with you!!
