We really enjoyed Barbados during our short visits. I have visited quite a few islands in the Eastern/Southern and Western caribbean Islands. I would not mind working for a US based IT consulting company that has short contracts (say 3 - 6 months at a time) there. Have family here, so can't be gone for too long at a time. It's good to know that there are some Nigerians there. I actually met a couple of Nigerians when we vacationed in Antigua (another very beautiful Southern Caribbean Island) early this year.

Err.. there is only ONE university in the entire West Indies, UWI, so why shouldn't it be good? In Nigeria we have over 120 universities, with a wide variety of disciplines and specialisations that far outnumber what is offered at the University of the West Indies. So it is absurd even trying to compare Nigeria and Barbados in terms of education. Nigeria has a lot more to offer, even if none of her universities (supposedly) on its own matches UWI in overall standards.
