PDP Negotiates With Defecting Governors, Senators by Ovamboland(m): 4:02pm On Dec 08, 2013 |
The People's Democratic Party (PDP) said on Thursday that it was negotiating with the party's major stakeholders and the aggrieved governors who defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC). Source http://news.ng.msn.com/national-news/pdp-negotiating-with-defecting-governors I thought they don't give a damn since they control Army, Police, SSS and EFCC. PDP is desperate not to become minority party overnight, how are the mighty falling. |

Akpabio dare the governors to leave PDP, guess what, the governors left PDP 48 hours later and the rest is history. I spoke to the brother of senator Atiku Bagudu (PDP Kebbi) this morning, he said the worst is yet to happen. He said 27 senators and 62 House members plan to move to APC next year. He said negotiation is on going. He said Theophelous Danjuma has been charged with the task of blessing a young presidential candidate. He said Buhari is not contesting as many of us belief. PDP is about to become SE/SS party. Let's watch how things unfold in 2014. 3 Likes |

Let Dokubo and his co-travelers continue to shout Jonathan must be president till 2019 as if they had any major hand in his initial election. Since GEJ failed to reign them in, we take it that he supports their silly utterances. Most of the real people who made GEJ election possible have since been alienated by the kindergarten style of presidency and skelewu dance with corruption. 1 Like |

sincerenigerian: Akpabio dare the governors to leave PDP, guess what, the governors left PDP 48 hours later and the rest is history. Good but who is Danjuma to determine or bless the next president? This slave mentality should stop - Nigeria and Nigerians are free from slavery already. We will determine the person we want - Danjuma is no body to tell us who vote for as our next president. |

sincerenigerian: Akpabio dare the governors to leave PDP, guess what, the governors left PDP 48 hours later and the rest is history. Is this what you tell yourself so you can sleep at night? If Danjuma joins APC, even the middlebelt will reject him. Please try and visit middlebelt groups and hear what they are saying. You have no clue. And for the records, APC will not win the south west in the next presidential election. They will not even get up to 30% votes. If you think most christians are going to vote for a Buhari and Tinubu led party, then yu are delusional. Even Lagos election will be based on who PDP or Labour bring out. If they bring out the right candidate, APC will be thrown out. Wake up bro and stop thinking elections are won on social media and newspaper headlines. So you actually think that when a governor defects, the state defects? What kind of reasoning is that? The governor is not the state. Some of the defecting PDP governors could not have won their states on their own merit. They used the party platform. You definitely have little clue of what you are saying 1 Like |

entuk: intra-party discussions are to some extents ceremonial and don't really bother anybody. BUT WHEN AN ADAMANT PARTY SEEKS TO BRING BACK POLITICIANS THAT WERE ONCE THEIRS? THAT'S A RECIPE FOR THE PERFECT HEADLINE You are not making sense. First and foremost, if the members really want to defect, they would have done that a long time ago. All their drama is simply to try to force the party to negotiate with them. That means, they were never interested in defecting. Didnt Atiku defect before? What came off it. Or is he going to defect twice? That wouldnt be surprising though, knowing who he is and what he stands for. WH do you think Lamido and Aliyu changed their minds? They dont want to do opposition. They know that it will be a very uphill task to beat PDP and GEJ in 2015. If they defect and loose 2015, they become less politically relevant than they ever were. Their best route to higher political influence is still in the PDP. They are the ones wooing PDP, not the other way around. You delude yourself when you think that: 1. The governors are joining APC because they want to change Nigeria 2. The governors actually love APC like they say on the pages of newspapers. 3. That the governors will be better off politically in APC 4. That all their states will eventually follow them to APC. Too many false assumptions from you there 1 Like |

theoctopus: For a party that gleefully declared just a few years ago, they will rule continuously for 60 years and later revised to 100 years, you'd be a slow learner not see the frantic meetings to prevent sudden collapse after all the 'gra gra' of we don't need them , 'they can go to hell', 'let them join the opposition we'd be fine' . They have hardly completed 14 years before Jonathan came to pour sand sand for their garri. |

Please stop spreading falsehood abeg. You opposition guys only get things done on social media and not in reality just like you won the e-election in Anambra. Why can't they defect now, bunch of th-w-arts! As at the last count, they don't even have the numbers to effect a change in the leadership of the lower chamber (2 thirds come to mind). This people can never hold back if they have the power to do so. To hell with them and their empty threats |

Ovamboland: You are still not making any sense. Is there any party without internal issues? Dont you read of internal issues in APC in more than 6 states at the moment even resulting in street fights and killing of members? Is there any time PDP or any other party will not have internal issues to settle? So when has it suddenly become a frantic effort to save anything? Didnt Atiku defect before to go and become ACN candidate? What is new in what is happening? You are deceiving yourself. If that is what you tell yourself so you can sleep well at night, then please do continue. But you have said absolutely nothing |
