Ohanaeze Youths On War Path With Igbo Elders Over Gifts From Mr. President. PICS by agbameta: 11:59pm On Dec 16, 2013
The youth wing of the apex Igbo socio- cultural organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo is currently on war path with the parent body of the group over the recent visit to President Goodluck Jonathan at the presidential villa, Abuja.

The youth wing are said to be disgusted over the non-inclusion of youths and other Igbo interest groups on the delegation that met with Jonathan recently, insisting that the situation does not speak well of the organization.

247ureports.com gathered that on learning about the visit to Jonathan, members of Ohanaeze youth wing were said to have approached ranking members of the parent organization like the Secretary -General, Dr. Joe Nworgu for them to be allowed to have a representative on the delegation.

Nwaorgu who was alleged to be angered by the effrontery of the youths to demand for a representative on the delegation to Aso Rock pointedly told them to wait patiently for their turn or kill all the elders of the organization and assume their position if that will satisfy them.

247ureports.com further gathered that the youths are spoiling for war as they insist that the present Ohanaeze Ndigbo leadership will no longer have their way as they must consult relevant interest groups in any matter of Igbo interest.

According to a leader of the youth wing, “Our elders hardly think of the future and this is why the Igbos has not made much progress in the politics of Nigeria
. How can Ohanaeze Ndigbo prepare a list of delegates to meet with the president without a single youth? What does this tell you? We met with the secretary General, Dr. Joe Nwaorgu to make the issue known to him, but he told us to wait for our turn or kill all the elders if that will satisfy us. We are not happy the way our elders are going.

“This kind of meeting between the president and Igbo leaders should have included youths, clergy or representatives of other Igbo cultural groups because whatever that would be discussed will be in the interest of Ndigbo. The elders cannot know it all; the inputs of youths or women would still be needed.”

Another member of the youth wing who pleaded anonymity advised the leadership of Ohanaeze Ndigbo to borrow a leaf from their Arewa or Afenifere counterparts, whom he said, cannot take any major decision without consulting their youths.

“The worst part of it is that it is still the same old people, Justice Ozobu, Prof. Anya, Joe Nwaorgu, Joe Irukwu and Mbazulike Amaechi who are always meeting with the president on behalf of Ndigbo. What has Ndigbo benefitted from such meetings?
Even if it is for the Ndigbo to back Jonathan in the 2015 election, how many of the elders who were part of the delegation will be there to mobilize and vote for Jonathan on that day? For us to make progress, Ohanaeze leaders must borrow a leaf from Arewa or Afenifere unless they don’t believe that youths are the leaders of tomorrow,” he said.

This is really sad. Telling your own youths to fucck off or kill you the elders before sharing brown envelopes is utter madness greed of the highest order.

When you run around these incompetent aso rock dullards and take their money and compromise yourselves and legitimacy, how do you turn around and confront them regarding your actual needs like the very important 2nd Niger bridge? Of course you can't because they've paid for your silence.

Like I say all the time, they don't have any sensible adult in iboland...

When every other person is concerned about the survival of Nigeria even from where the president hails , with people crying for dividends of democracy, our biafran brothers are " busybodying " in Abuja; begging for money from the president and deceiving him . When someone tomorrow comes up with a write up on how ibos are good bootlickers, you will see them screaming tribalism as if it's not what they are good at.

The simple truth is this. The ibos are confused politically and it will continue to be so in as much as they lack focus. They wanted a sovereign nation of their own on one hand, they want to rule Nigeria on the other while some bootlickers are selling their political future for money as usual. They hated OBJ but they still voted him after collecting money while Ojuku was humiliated because his sons won't even vote for him .

It's time you stopped your "AGIP" attitude because it's not going to get you anywhere neither will it get you to rule Nigeria. Ekwueme had better shot at the presidency but lack of political alliance couldn't get him the seat. I'm guessing some ibos may have collected money to have endorsed Obj's candidacy since money is a factor to the ibos !

Hahahahahaha

Come and chop ,food is ready leadership.

YOU ARE ALREADY CHOPPING YOUR NIGER BRIDGE O

By the way

Fashola-
“Why should people feel compelled to migrate from one place to the other? Is there one part of this country that is less endowed whether in human or natural resource? Is that the problem? Is it the case that perhaps some parts are so endowed or not adequately managed?
“Those are the honest debates that we must have. The political storm is gathering and allusions have been made to the issues I address, not only by the chairman, but by the President of Ohaneze Ndigbo. How can development be so difficult in the part of Nigeria that gave us Ike Nwachukwu, Chinua Achebe, Nnamdi Azikiwe, Odumegwu Ojukwu, Alex Ekwueme and so on, how can development be so difficult in that part of this country? I think those are the real issues.”

This is my problem with the igbos. They keep screaming marginalisation marginalisation and its them who are marginalising themselves. Ordinary Senate Presidency that was zoned to them. They shared it round the whole igbo states in a very short period. Keep pulling their own down.

Tell igbos to bring one consensus candidate for presidency. Na war u cause so. Please, let igbos be united and try to fight collectively for what they should have, Instead of this their "Autonomous" thinking.

So unfortunate what our elders have turned themselves to. Imagine the response of that secretary general. Smh. Igbo youths ought to take their destiny in their hands. Their leaders don't give a millipede's arse about them. Most especially, Victor Umeh!
